A meeting of the Gaza Contact Group was held in the Turkish city of Antalya on the sidelines of the 4th edition of the “Antalya Diplomacy Forum,” under the title “Two-State Solution and Lasting Peace in the Middle East.” The meeting included the participation of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Indonesia. The conference focused on affirming the rejection of the displacement of Palestinians and called for the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.

The participants emphasized key priorities including an immediate ceasefire, the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and the reconstruction of the region. They also stressed the importance of unifying Palestinian institutions in the West Bank and Gaza under one administration and called on countries around the world to recognize the State of Palestine.

Today, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Foreign Minister, reiterated his country's categorical rejection of the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza under any pretext, demanding an immediate ceasefire & ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches civilians.

The Saudi Foreign Minister stressed
1) the importance of the immediate return of the ceasefire in Gaza
2) the need for a ceasefire to be sustainable & a path to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip
3) this be the beginning of a FINAL SOLUTION to the issue through the establishment of a Palestinian state, stressing that the ARAB & ISLAMIC GROUPS are COMMITTED to COMPREHENSIVE PEACE to ensure the SECURITY of ALL in the MIDDLE EAST REGION, & guarantee the rights & security & future of the Palestinian people within the framework of their OWN independent state.
