The sources said they had no further detail regarding who might have carried out the strike.

Senior militia commander killed in Baghdad air strike, group says

An air strike on a facility linked to an Iran-backed militia in central Baghdad on Thursday killed a high-ranking commander, the group said. It was not immediately clear who carried out the attack.
The strike comes as tensions in the Middle East linked to the Israel-Hamas war rise, triggering fears of a regional spillover.
The Popular Mobilisation Units (PMU), a network of Iran-backed militia groups, some of which are nominally under the control of Iraq’s state security forces, announced the death of its deputy head of operations in Baghdad, Mushtaq Taleb Al-Saeedi, also known as “Abu Taqwa”.
He was killed “as a result of brutal American aggression,” a PMU statement said.
The US embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Those who live by the sword, tend to die by it too! How sad they spent their lives working to murder others in service to Allah, and never gave their hearts to Christ. How nice for the rest of us that a few less murderers and terrorists are alive.
