Trump warns Putin is 'playing with fire' after declaring the Russian president has 'gone absolutely CRAZY'

President Donald Trump asserted on Tuesday that many "bad things" would have befallen Russia if it were not for him, warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "playing with fire!"

"What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!" Trump declared in the Truth Social post.

But Trump's tough talk was not reserved only for the Russian figure — he also criticized Zelenskyy.
"Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop," Trump declared of the Ukrainian president.

Russia’s Medvedev responds to Trump by saying 'one really bad thing' would be WWIII

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev responded to US President Donald Trump’s social media post that said Vladimir Putin is "playing with fire."

"Regarding Trump's words about Putin ‘playing with fire’ and ‘really bad things’ happening to Russia. I only know of one REALLY BAD thing — WWIII. I hope Trump understands this!" the Russian official said on X.

After Trump warned hamas of grave consequences if they didn't release all of the hostages by a certain date, after hamas didn't comply Trump did nothing. Now if I were Iran, for example, after that example of how Trump fulfills his warnings I wouldn't be worrying too much. He shouldn't make empty threats, and really, in my opinion, he shouldn't be making veiled threats to Russia.

The fact that Putin answered by deploying Medvedev to mention WW3 and the hint of nukes means that Putin IS annoyed.

He uses Medvedev as a non diplomatic alternative source of expressing himself when diplomatic channels would be too much but he still wants to be heard.

I hope somebody is listening at the State dept who is experienced with decoding Russia's messaging.

I think that is the reason they answered using Medvedev- a veiled threat back in return.

Russia doesn't like the idea that America might be mining minerals in Ukraine, on their doorstep, and that signed minerals agreement that protects America's investment in Ukraine.

That is behind Putin putting a push on to get things done. He doesn't want US interests backed by US military operating in "his" backyard.
