Trump to head Gaza meeting in Washington on Wednesday

US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said Tuesday that President Donald Trump will be heading a "large meeting" on the war in Gaza on Wednesday at the White House. He also said that Trump expects the war to be over by the start of 2026.

Witkoff told Fox News that they are meeting to work on the post-war plan for Gaza, adding that "it's a very comprehensive plan we're putting together on the next day."

The US State Department also said seperately that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to meet with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in Washington on the same day.

BBC is reporting that Tony Blair and Jared Kushner were invited to the meeting Blair joins White House meeting with Trump on post-war Gaza

"Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has joined a White House meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss plans for post-war Gaza.

Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has said the US is putting together a "very comprehensive" plan on "the next day" after the war. However, little else has been disclosed about the meeting.

Blair served as Middle East envoy for a few years after leaving office in 2007 - focusing on bringing economic development to Palestinian areas and creating conditions for a two-state solution.

However, when Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar was asked by reporters what the plan was for a Palestinian state, he said there would not be any."

Quite a bit further down it appears that Jared Kushner was also invited.

"The Axios website reported that Trump's son-in-law and former senior adviser, Jared Kushner, was also at the meeting."
