Trump says he would be 'honored' to win Nobel Peace Prize as Azerbaijan leader teases nomination

TCC

Well-known

President Donald Trump on Friday told the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia that it would be a "great honor" to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his recent diplomatic successes, after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called for the president to receive it.

Multiple countries have nominated Trump for the monumental award this year for his role in securing historic trade and peace agreements. Trump has also helped achieve peace between India and Pakistan, Israel and Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Serbia and Kosovo and helped avert a war between Cambodia and Thailand.

"Who, if not President Trump, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize?" Aliyev said during a press briefing on the signing of the peace agreement with Armenia. “Award President Trump with the Nobel Peace Prize ... This is a tangible result of President Trump's leadership and no one could've achieved that."

Ummmm..... when has he negotiated "peace" between Israel and Iran?????????? No, he may have helped to negotiate a "cease fire"
but he has not changed Iran's mind one little bit about running Israel into the sea. About destroying the little satan.
About destroying the big satan (USA) too, for that matter. Nope..........no peace.

I get why he would like that, but it's usually a leftist merit badge and I kind of think the committee might have other ideas.

I get the feeling that Trump and others could be trying to get the global libertard community to honor their worst enemy via an award. If they ultimately feel compelled to do so it'll be kind of interesting... and hilarious.

You know, the more we learn, sometimes i wonder if the presidency is playboy billionaire's "showcase?" Like he gets up in the morning and looks in the mirror rubbing his chin sayin..."What kind of trouble can we get into today?" Then doing the muttley laugh...

Like: "Let's force the dems to give me prize today, shall we?" lol

PS...wow great avatar TT :)

There is an interesting irony that, to me, seems to be emerging on this world peace front (as it goes). From the disposition of Trump, he seems to be somewhat like a Jimmy Carter figure that wan'ts world peace. But "seems" to have a genuine interest in it. Along those lines, Trump seems to also be saavy regarding political, social, international, domestic, and socio-political interplay. His desire for peace does not seem to cloud his judgement while orchestrating concurrent inroads to those peace paths along organic developments along the way to play also toward that end. This is a fascinating chemestry to watch in real-time.

So the irony is, that with all the drama and issues many of us have toward one like Trump, we likely in differing ways can see the above on some levels in some fashion, for sure. YET Obama, just months into his first term gets a Nobel Peace Prize? lol. For what?

AI OVERVIEW
Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. The Nobel Committee cited his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples" as the reason for the award, according to the Nobel Prize committee. The decision to award the prize to Obama just months after his inauguration as President of the United States was met with both praise and criticism. Some felt it was premature, while others viewed it as a recognition of his potential to promote peace.

THE IRONY: Obama was awarded a Peace Prize months into his presidency having really not done much at that time. The peace prize was awarded to him largely "in faith" and hope of what the image of Obama created might become thus. In contrast, we have Trump, brash, vulgar, campy, not smooth, not debonair, crude, vindictive, in your face, saying outrageous things, etc. Yet, while Obama was smooth, gathered, praised by media, the best image makers can produce, slick, stylish, eloquent...and got an award "in faith" of world peace. While in contrast, the Orange Man looks more like the "actual" real deal.

In contrast, it could almost be a South Park cartoon episode or three. And certainly something entertaining if the Bee did something on that. Two commercial entertainment outlets famous, well known, and in their individual rights respected for their level of creative craft. Proving that social artifacts are "a thing." And certainly have a place and value in our greater world economic and political and social infrastructure. Blessings.

. . . . .

Especially if Biden was merely an Obama Puppet. Allowing Russia to take hold of the middle east, and bring on wars like Ukraine (the coup in 2014 as well as the inevitable result during Biden) all along the while. If Obama is the defacto Dem lead operating system in the background...how peace prize worthy is/was that? lol.
