Trump National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Promise Resurfaces

TCC

Well-known

The internet over the weekend proved that nothing is forgotten as President Donald Trump's nearly two-year-old video on concealed carry reciprocity swept social media anew.

Trump originally promised to bring about national concealed carry reciprocity as part of his 2016 presidential campaign but a bill, despite passing the House on a 231-198 roll call and having 40 co-sponsors in the Republican-controlled Senate, never made it out of Congress to Trump's desk.

During the campaign for office this current cycle, Trump, who is now slated to become the 47th president, released his Agenda 47 platform last February. In a series of short videos explaining the agenda, he addressed reciprocity once again as part of his seven-pointed crime plan.

. . . . .

This might seem like a statement from a punch-drunk person, or one lingering a bit too long over the punch bowl...but what I would be inclined to look out for over the course of the next four years is (and I don't think we would likely have to wait too long to see traction in that direction...if it be a way forward) witnessing a radical re-emergence of constitutional effecacy. And that with bells on.

I believe the spirit of the Constitution and Declaoration of Indepence to be the best governance can be in a fallen world, barring of course a real and true theocracy (as Israel once had before Saul). The reason I believe this is because it was fashioned during a great concern for we the people. And people are created in the image of God. And even though Jefferson might have been a diest (we see Caiaphas, a non-believer, said in his unbelief: "...it is in your best interest that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish instead."), not intending to compare the Constituion with holy writ in the slightest here, Jefferson did include our rights as being endowed by a creator. Regardless of his knowledge of The Creator, it is the only governmental doc I am aware of that says our civil rights are from God...if I am correct? And that would just seem to be something reasonably in potential providential use toward Israel, God's elect.
.
So yeah just like in that way it would seem to be perhaps somewhat noteworthy that as America regroups, it might robustly exhibit her contittuional wares quite a bit more these days. Well that can be pollyanish but I don't mean this from a hopeful American citizen as much as how much it makes sense in His providence potentially. Its a difficult time perhaps to mention such a thing in contrast to the concerns of Christian Nationalism, Agenda 2025, and in some eschatololgical perspectives...a rise of Mystery Babylon. But in the age of grace I believe we the people get something awesome. A likely better perspective on a living constitution out from underneath the globalist overlord version of it. And that's something. And something perhaps to keep an eye out for if we might. In any event...that will be sort of the kind of thing I would be looking for as a way to worship God. Not America, Trump, or even the Constitution. But God. Blessings.
