One of President Donald Trump's most trusted advisers says he will turn back the clock on his political strategy and "campaign like it's 2024."
White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, who played a key part in Trump's election victory last year, said the president is hoping to avoid a congressional blue wave by going back to the once-winning strategy.
“Typically, in the midterms, it’s not about who’s sitting at the White House. You localize the election, and you keep the federal officials out of it. We’re actually gonna turn that on its head and put him on the ballot because so many of those low propensity voters are Trump voters,” Wiles said in an interview with The Mom View.
“We saw a week ago Tuesday what happens when he’s not on the ballot and not active,” she continued. “I haven’t quite broken it to him yet, but he’s going to campaign like it’s 2024 again.”
