“‘You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.’" (Leviticus 18:21, NASB)

When God gave this warning to the children of Israel, He warned against worshiping another "god” (idol); He certainly did not want innocent children being sacrificed to an evil borne of Satan's machinations. Yet, Israel would stray, and one of her most infamous kings, Manasseh, would drag the nation along with him into this horrific act:

“Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the LORD according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD dispossessed before the sons of Israel. For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he also erected altars for the Baals and made Asherim, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. He built altars in the house of the LORD of which the LORD had said, “My name shall be in Jerusalem forever.” For he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. He made his sons pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, used divination, practiced sorcery and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.” (2 Chronicles 33:1-6, emphasis mine)

Jeremiah also bore witness and testified to this evil, so that others would see harm and utter ruin that the idol worshipers did to their children in their insane demon worship:

"They built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin " (Jeremiah 32:35, emphasis mine)

Fast forward to today.

While the idols being worshiped are no longer heavy blocks of stone but “choice” (or rather, convenience), the effects are still the same. Children are being sacrificed in abortions, all for the sake of "reproductive rights" for the mother.

This ignores the right of the unborn to not be murdered by those who are bearing them.

There was a time not so long ago, when having a baby was considered a responsibility, and it was taken seriously by people. Children were not seen as possessions, but as living people, and to harm a child would evoke cries of barbarism and disgust amongst folks. Having children was a blessing to a family, and not a curse that would hold someone back. It was all about family, the ties that bound us together as a unit. These ties would hold a mother and father to one another, and then them to their children as a whole.

But those times died sometime back; the right of a child to live was supplanted and thrown aside in the name of a woman's "right to choose." It became about "me, myself and I," and the unborn were relegated to the status of a lump of tissue, and antiseptic terms were applied in order to remove as much of the humanity and the soul out of the situation as possible. After all, murder is by far easier when you don't consider the one to be murdered a human being, but rather a piece of meat that you are merely cutting into. The blood has been spilled upon our hands, and all over this nation as a whole. All because we fell in line with our own desires, rather than to cling to the true word of the Lord:

" You shall not murder." (Exodus 20:13, NASB)

Like all of God's laws, this one is not terribly difficult to understand. But every day, hundreds of thousands are killed, and this law is broken, all in the name of "choice". People listened to the whispers of "choice" by the adversary, rather than the clear instruction of God. And as a result, this country and others as well have sunken to lows not seen since before the Great Flood of Noah's time.

This is no accident.

It is the carefully constructed plan of the Adversary. Satan knew what he was doing in his assault on the family, and this is his bloodiest assault yet. He's attacked the unity of the family, the morals of it, the structure, and now the very lives of the little ones:

"‘You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.’" (John 8:44, NASB emphasis mine)

Make no mistake about it: whether it was before the fire on the altar of a stone idol, or a sterile procedure in a brightly lit operating room, the sin remains the same. This society may change settings and "procedures", but God Almighty does not:

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." (James 1:17, NASB, emphasis mine)

This nation, and all nations that do this, will be judged by God for this sin, as well as every other sin that they have committed: "And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people" (Isaiah 2:4a) As a nation, we need to repent of this sin while there is yet time. And the Church in our country as a whole must repent for not having taken the stand that was necessary to warn this country of the terrible consequences of their actions.

We have precious little time left; even now, the groundwork for the Great Tribulation is being laid, and the storm clouds gather on the horizon. We must do what we can while there is yet daylight to work…

…however fading and dim that light may be now.

Not only did the worship of Moloch involve the burning alive of little children to placate the god, but the worship of his consort Ashtoreth (also known as Astarte, Ishtar and Inanna) involved perverse sexual acts between men and women, men and men, and women and women. Transvestism and other gender bending and altering behaviors were all part of it. Seems that same demonic spirit is active in our society today.

Very much so... and we are at tremendous risk now of being judged for those same sins.

America is already being judged. The weather, the environment, the political arena, the chaos in our cities. The purpose of these judgments is to cause people to look up and consider their ways. Praise God that some will. Sadly, most won't. But our job is not to concern ourselves with who will and who won't, because we just cannot know. There is no basis upon which we can make a correct judgment about somebody's possibility of salvation. No, our job is simply to love everybody and share the gospel freely, at every opportunity.

I do agree, but I think so far, the Lord has simply lifted His hand of protection. What's next is when He actively starts His judgments.

Yes, brother, but lifting His hand of protection is in itself a judgment. Right? But one day His prophesied judgments will begin and I do not think we can imagine what things will be like here when He actively (as you put it) begins those judgments

Yes. I figure there's judgment and then there's judgment. Right now, we're at judgment.

(is this making any sense? :p )
