Thousands of wells contaminated near US bases, study finds

A new study shows that almost 3,000 private wells near 63 U.S. military bases have dangerous levels of contamination by “forever chemicals.”

According to the Environmental Working Group, which is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., the Department of Defense has contaminated thousands of private water wells with dangerous levels of PFAS, known as “forever chemicals.” The non-profit organization claimed that the Department of Defense has so far refused to provide the individuals who have been impacted by the contaminated wells with clean drinking water if the contamination did not rise to the level of its current standards.

What exactly are "Forever Chemicals?"

5 Ways Forever Chemicals (PFAS) May Affect Your Health

The idea of “forever” is exciting when you’re talking about diamonds or laser hair removal. But it’s alarming when experts explain how long it takes our bodies to break down harmful “forever” chemicals known as PFAS.

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs). They’re present in countless items you use every day, ranging from clothes to nonstick cookware to upholstery.

“EDCs are everywhere, and we’re being exposed to them constantly through what we eat, breathe and touch,” says endocrinologist David Shewmon, MD. “Over time, that exposure can cause problems in our bodies.”

That’s because small but repeated exposures to PFAS can build up inside you. Eventually, they can interfere with your hormones, affecting everything from mood and sleep to blood pressure, metabolism and reproduction.
So, how concerned should you be about contact with PFAS?....

I stopped drinking tap water two years ago because of the "forever Chemicals".
I began to only drink bottled water.

I thought this must be better than risking drinking tap water with harmful chemicals in it.

Then a year ago I found out and BPA.

"BPA stands for bisphenol A, an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1950s.

BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles. They may also be used in other consumer goods."

The article below continues with explaining the harmful chemicals in BPA.

Tips to reduce BPA exposure

So I came to the conclusion that we just can't get away from humans trying to harm us by using chemicals in everything.
So what to do?
Stop drinking water all together?
I mean isn't our body made up of about 70% water?

So I continue drinking bottled water. I have to trust God sustains us and I am not going to worry about it.

Funny how we are to blame for contaminating the earth, you know, "carbon footprint", 🙄 and yet the very ones who say we are to blame are the ones contaminating the earth and us.
