This young, vibrant and attractive senator could be the trump card for the Democrats in 2028, who is she? Here's all about her

TCC

Well-known

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), a Democratic Congresswoman from New York, is being discussed as a potential leader for the party in 2028. Her strong connection with voters through social media and grassroots campaigns has made her a prominent figure in U.S. politics. Monica Crowley, a former Trump Treasury official, recently acknowledged AOC’s influence on Fox News, warning Republicans not to underestimate her. Crowley noted, “She’s young, vibrant, attractive... and has real grassroots support.” ..

. . . . .

I don't recall we had a prospect for presidential race highlighted so early on before. Am I mistaken?

I think AOC would be supported by the majority of demonrat voters. One question is will the old guard demonrats give up their power as power would shift significantly with an AOC presidency. She seems to have the low IQ requirements of recent demonrat wannabees and presidents.

It seems unusual to me that prospects for 4 years down the road are popping up the day after the recent election, too.

Well her lipstick is red. So her makeup is on point. Even if her brains aren't always. Not sure if that's an improvement over Kamala or Hilary.

Wow TCC you know how to make me pray even MORE earnestly that we see us Raptured OUTTA HERE before we get to an election with her as the front runner.

I'm thinking about all the jokes to come though, and several might be promising. Occasional Cortex was one I've heard bandied about.

Yes, but I believe its in the sense of "run" more than 2 terms. But there is a kicker. It does not say Trump cannot run as VP next time. The other thing is "if he gets to prove cheating in 2020, can he constitutionally therefore have a third term?" lol

Some thought that Michelle O would have been the farovered candidate to run Joe off the road. In that scenario, if things got wanky enough, Barak could have constitutionally been her VP running.

But as far as Trump, he would be pretty old at the end of his second term. My goodness if he can't take care of enough business in the next four years at such a crucial point in America and the world, would there really be a point to a third?

Does the law say someone cannot serve more than 2 terms as President, or cannot serve more than 2 consecutive terms as President? :sneaky:

22nd Amendment Section 1:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Because he didn't serve after he won his second election as there was a successful coup, the next four years is considered his 2nd term under the law. He'll be the first to be elected three times but only to serve twice.

If Trump survives this 2nd term, he can still be a pillar of power for the MAGA movement to restore America's greatness, but hopefully he'll just rest, enjoy his children, grand children, and great grand children, and live in relative peace, hopefully in Christ.

Thanks for that :) I believe though with wording a previous 2 term president could run as VP though, no?

The last sentence in the 12th Amendment from the link below states:

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

That's interesting.

So if a 2 term president- Obama for example is constitutionally ineligible to serve as President ever again (because he did his 2 terms)- then that means Obama for example couldn't run as a VP for anyone because if he had to take over as President, this would create a problem.

Question to you Americans then

IS the term limit for presidents written into the Constitution as an Amendment?

Because that becomes the very definition of Constitutionally Ineligible- based on previous terms as President.

Yes. Andy has the better portion of the constitution at the ready. Kudos. Amen. :)
