This Supreme Court Term Proves the System Still Works

Final day of SCOTUS decisions brings wave of history-making rulings

The Supreme Court had a banner day on Friday, the last decision day of the high court’s term, involving the justices reining in judicial power and serving up a victory for parents in the ongoing culture wars.

The high court's more controversial decisions were split along ideological lines. Liberal justices sometimes dissented with bitter rebukes, while the Trump administration celebrated what it viewed as landmark wins.

Nationwide injunctions

In the most high-profile case of the day, the Supreme Court ended the practice of judges issuing sweeping injunctions that cover the whole country and not just parties involved in a case.

Justices swear to uphold the US Constitution and Bill of Rights followed by laws passed that are not contrary to those documents.

If the Supreme Court was working the way it should, decisions wouldn't split along ideological lines.

One thing is for sure, justices do not swear allegiance to nor do they owe allegiance to a President.

If the Supreme Court was working the way it should, decisions wouldn't split along ideological lines.

This reminds me of John Adam's warning that only a people following God's Word can successfully operate within the constitutional government that was formed.

Human free will or freedom, not yielded to the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus, brings mayhem, division and confusion, even in the best of environments. Fruits of spiritual darkness.
