Just waiting for the Rapture at this point!
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil
Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Did you ever wonder why the tree in the Garden of Eden was called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Why was it not just called “The tree of evil”?
I believe that is how Satan deceives us with a mixture of good and evil. A mixture of truth and lies. If he only presented evil, no one would be tempted. He told Eve a lie and a truth. The truth was she would be like gods knowing good and evil. This would give her the ability to judge right from wrong. The lie was she would not die if she ate the fruit.
For example, Satan uses sex which God created as a good thing. Satan says sex is good which is true, but lies and says you don’t need to be married to engage in it, which is a lie.
Why am I saying this at this time? Because it is the exact same way people are deceived today. Give them a certain amount of truth that they can either test for themselves or see for themselves in the Bible. Once they get you to trust them with truth, they start adding in some things that are not true. This is just what Jehovah Wittiness do as an organization and many Christian Pastors also do.
Just recently I listened to a Pastor who was spot on the first half of his service. He used the Bible to support everything he stated. Then the second half he stated something that he happened to believe and I total disagree with and used no scripture at all.
The Bible warns us about this. Man cannot come up with truth or facts on his own. Why, because man is not eternal and things change over time. So a fact today can be incorrect tomorrow.
Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
There are many other verses that say the same thing as per the web site below.
