The road to Damascus: Syrian exiles return home to celebrate the fall of Assad

TCC

Well-known

Following the shock collapse of the regime of Bashar al-Assad, Syrians who have lived in exile for more than a decade are starting to return to their homes. FRANCE 24's James André, Julie Dungelhoeff and Sofia Amara crossed into Syria from Lebanon and drove to Damascus to witness the first days of post-Assad Syria.

. . . . .

This might lead to Trump's ability to have peace in the region. Leverage because Russia allocated resources to Ukraine. From what I can tell, Israel is not interested in Damascus. Please correct me if I am wrong. But wow. Israel just took down Syria. lol. 🍿

I believe Syria is globalist desire to launder money...Biden wants to send North Carolina funds to Syria. I think its part of his retirement package. :(

. . . . .

Outside of the way the West had understood Syria geopolitics...please consider some ALT takes from X as a potential composite...

The backdrop to this is Obama wanted Isis rule in the region to take down Asad so the globalist would have Ukraine like Money Laundering Disneyland desperately desired by globalist for the Middle East.

I think we are about to see something far worse than Assad, and more like the ISIS revival in Afghanistan. The heartwarming tales of family reunions such as this France24 article outlines, will be replaced by beheadings, forced rapes, forced "marriages" and forced conversions to ISIS Islam. There will be reprisals to the Alawite tribes, Kurds, and anyone else who tries to get in the way.

Obama loved Islam, no doubt about it. He views Islam as a good thing. He aided Iran every time he could.

I think it's a very very good thing Israel bombed the living daylights out of every bit of the leftover armaments and equipment they could. This is a short but important window of opportunity to defang a far worse enemy than Assad ever was. Getting a strategic foothold on Mt Hermon was equally important. I have no doubt that Biden will attempt to get in the way of Israel protecting themselves and the world.

Assad seemed to have some good and bad going for him. If Obama wanted him gone, its good he stayed in power. Yes Margery, I agree there will be unruly rebels in the mix. In the vacuum. On one level who is to say how it will end up. But it does pose some solid features of Trump leverage in the region now that Russia is not a part of the ruling class there. Its almost like a) Ukrain distracted Russian efforts away from middles east protection, and b) Israel benefitted from Russia haveing less backup focus in the middle east.

Who is more on America's side? Putin or the globalists? Between the two, Putin. I believe Putin is a nationalist. And nationalism has a common enemy...globalism. The quicker we can down globalism, the sooner we can get back to our normal fights with nations posing as themselves. :)
