I heard once that if your hand was really clean you could dip it in molten lead and pull it out without harm, but let there not be any dirt and impurities for that lead to burn or damage would follow.
With our contending with demonic forces there must not be any sin (dirt) that the enemy can use and that gives Satan any legal right to our life, a right to gain entrance and build a stronghold.
Jesus was without sin and the devil could find nothing n him.
