Too bad the Supreme Court doesn't stand up for the lives of babies.

The court ruled that the doctors and anti-abortion groups that had challenged access to the drug did not have standing to sue.

So the issue can still be addressed, just by someone who does have standing to sue. They may have taken the case for the purpose of indicating that the question, if brought properly to the court, might stand a chance...

Mifepristone has uses other than abortion: treatment of hyperglycemia in some Cushings Syndrome patients, and preparation for some uterine or endometrial biopsies. Pregnancy test done first to ensure not pregnant, and women must not become pregnant while taking it.
