Stir Stick to Detect if Your Drink Is Spiked Developed by Chemists Hoping to See Them on Every Bar Top

Ghoti Ichthus

Genesis 18:32, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Acts 5:29
Cautiously optimistic . . .
The detection coasters are helpful, but not foolproof, and potential for counterfeits (always get from the bartender directly, and not from the pile on the bar or one's date, friend, roommate, etc.).
Bad enough to have to watch your drink in a bar or party, but anymore, one needs to watch one's normal mealtime and snack food and drink in restaurants, college cafeterias, dorm rooms, etc.
I wonder if one could stick this in his or her food and detect adulterants, or if it'll only work in a drink/liquid.

"After 12 years of research and development, a team of Canadian chemists has created what could be the ultimate tool for detecting if your drink has been spiked.
More discreet and accurate than anything else on the market, the simple, innocuous-looking drink stir comes with a tip that will change color if exposed to any of the common drugs used by predatory bargoers.
Called Spikeless, the stirrer was envisioned by a team of brothers at the University of British Columbia and can detect common drink spiking drugs like GHB and ketamine, which are otherwise odorless and tasteless, within 30 seconds."

pretty cool but i wouldnt use.

personal preference. nothing against others using it, but for me it kills the vibe of going out and letting loose. im the type to leave my car doors unlocked, windows down, if im in my town and the surrounding towns. i like to trust my surroundings. if im out of town, ill usually lock my doors, but still wouldnt use this product, since it just feels like too much precaution. thanks for asking.
