Spain’s Prime Minister Calls on Other Countries to Stop Arming Israel in Latest Salvo Against Jewish State

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Friday urged other countries to stop supplying weapons to Israel, continuing Spain’s harsh rhetoric toward the Jewish state since the start of the Gaza war last October.

"I believe it is urgent that, in light of everything that is happening in the Middle East, the international community stops exporting weapons to the government of Israel,” Sanchez told reporters after meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican in Rome.

"This is an appeal that I will make … to the entire international community,” the socialist leader added, saying it was important “not to contribute in one way or another to the escalation of violence and to the war and its expansion in Gaza, the West Bank or, in this case, to Lebanon.”

Well I don't think Spain's future is rosy and bright with promise.

They turned into a failed state in 1492 (yeah that year) when Isabella and her hubby (I forget his name) turned the full force of the Catholic Inquisition onto the Jews to expel them from Spain and strip them of their belongings as they left. Isabella and co sent Columbus out that year.

They robbed the "New World" of gold which made them rich for a short while but within a few generations they became a hot mess of a country. They never really recovered - they expelled the Jews, the very people who brought wealth, industry and innovation every where they went. In short, they killed their goose that laid the golden eggs.

Looks like they remain on the losing side of history. Oddly enough Isabella and her hubby would have warned modern Spain about the Muslim hordes. They went to great effort to forcibly shove them out of Spain around that same time period. If only they'd kept the Jews instead, and toned down that Inquisition business, all might have gone well.

Now they are joining with Islam to persecute the Jews. Not good!
