Sinner's Prayer's

Those are ALL good "sinners prayers" brother. King David's beautifully expresses a repentant heart and the others (particularly the first and the fourth) nicely apply it to Christ's gift of salvation through His sacrifice for us.

Of course, all a person has to do is cry out to God in humbleness, shame, repentance, and thankfulness for Christ's gift, using whatever words come to their heart. But these four examples will certainly help someone express their own ideas if they just have trouble finding the words they want to say.

Exactly; a "sinner's prayer" is simply a guide for someone who doesn't have the words when they want to turn to the Lord. It's not some "magic spell" or "incantation" like some folks out there might think. What matters is the heart and if that heart is reaching for the Lord, one of these prayers can be of tremendous help!

Call me a heretic, y'all probably already do, just kidding, but I think there are those to walked a church isle to shake a pastor's hand and repeat a prayer may be in danger of hell-fire, I worry about my friends wife.

No worries Ronnie! As I said: what matters is the heart. If someone thinks merely repeating a prayer will save them, they may be in trouble!

People need to understand why they need a savior before they can be saved, as much as folks in danger need to recognize that they are in danger before anyone can help them.
