Just waiting for the Rapture at this point!
* This is something I just wrote today 11/20/2023 and is primarily what I believe is the case based on my personal experience. *
* As I have used very little scripture to back it up, I would ask for comments and/or corrections regarding what I have written. *
Satan and How He Controls People
While all people are sinners there are two types of people based on what the Bible states in John 3:19 through 3:21.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Now that I have defined the two types of people, let me elaborate regarding how Satan tries to influence them.
Satan tries to utilize evil people to basically do his bidding, kind of like pawns. They are ready to do evil things already, but Satan suggests to them other evil things to do. Do you ever wonder where some of these evil people get their crazy unspeakable ideas from? They get them from Satan!
Now there are a few things that Satan tries to get Christians to do or think and it usually starts in Childhood. While he cannot convince Christians to do evil, he can convince them to sin more and/or keep them from doing what God calls them to do. I don’t need to elaborate on how Satan tries to get Christians to sin more, as I am sure most everyone kind of gets that.
What I hope to make a case for is how Satan convinces Christians not to do what God has called them to do. Now let’s get to the meat regarding two of Satan’s methods for that.
I think Satan’s favorite method is to convince Christians that they are either not worthy enough, not capable enough or both usually by causing them to feel low self-esteem. Those Christians that fall for this however can later be convinced otherwise by Pastors and/or other Christians.
I think Satan’s most effective method though is first convincing Christians not to trust people and to keep them either at arms distance or stay away from people completely. People who have been abused, abandoned or severely let down tend to fall for this one.
Now that Satan has them alone, it becomes much easier for him to convince them of things and he causes them to become selfish out of fear and become busy constantly trying to do what is best for themselves. This keeps them from performing whatever their calling is which involves people. Actually, it also keeps them from being loving and happy.
As you can imagine the reason this method is more effective is because how can a Christian be convinced not to believe Satan’s suggestions if they don’t trust people and stay away from people. Meaning these Christians don’t listen to and stay away from the very ones who can help them.
So what does the bible say about the Christian that avoids people?
1 Corinthians 13:5 Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
1 Corinthians 13:7 Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
So the Bible states we should love people and we should gather with people even more so as we get closer to the Tribulation. Why? To fight against the thoughts that Satan will try to convince us of, which keeps us from our calling.
