Sa'ar: 'We know for certain Hamas can release more hostages'

Almost Heaven

Well-known
Foreign Minister Gideon Saar delivered a statement to the media this evening (Thursday), before participating in a panel at the MED conference in Naples, hosted by Italy's Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani.

Saar said that Israel is committed to the implementation of the Trump plan and clarified that the government sees it as the basis for the future of regional relations.

"I told Deputy Prime Minister Tajani that Israel is committed to implementing the Trump Plan. We want the Trump Plan to succeed, and accordingly, we will act. But I also shared with the Minister some of the concerns and worries we have.," Sa'ar said.

However, the minister added that he shared Israel’s concerns, with the foremost being the issue of the hostages. "The problem of our dead hostages - 19 of them are still being held by Hamas. And we know, as a matter of fact, they can easily bring back a significant number of dead hostages and to give them back according to the agreement. What they are doing right now - it's a fundamental breach of the agreement. We share our worries with our American friends and we expect the mediators to help us resolve this issue immediately. It's very important because it's also playing with families that suffered enough for more than two years," he said.

Trump Gaza plan on verge of collapse, warns Saudi Arabia and UAE

Due to what they describe as the mediators' leniency regarding Hamas' refusal to disarm, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain have issued warnings that the effort to end the war is at risk of collapsing. Arab and US diplomatic sources confirmed to Israel Hayom that messages to this effect were sent by the Gulf states of the moderate Sunni axis to the White House and to the architects of the Gaza plan, President Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The warnings focus on Hamas' conduct since the ceasefire began, including the systematic assassination of rivals from competing clans, armed displays in the streets, extortion of local merchants, and statements by senior officials flatly rejecting the prospect of disarmament.

In their latest communication with Washington, the Saudis warned that unless there is a decisive US response and a change in approach by the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey—to enforce the plan's terms on Hamas, Saudi Arabia will not participate in the continuation of the process. A Saudi diplomatic source confirmed to Israel Hayom that such messages were delivered to the Americans.

For once I agree with the Saudis, and I actually hope this does collapse, and let Israel take care of business.

Quit with the Qatar/Egypt/Turkey "helpers", fire Kushner and Witkoff and back Israeli efforts to clean that nest of vipers OUT of Gaza for once and for all.

Someday God will ensure that Israel is living in peace and security just before the Ezek 38 thing.

How that comes about I don't know but if Bill Salus is right, this current war is the Psalm 83 one, and it will continue with pauses like these until Israel is free of threats from the inner ring of enemies. Leaving it open for Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya or North Africa and the Sudan to try to invade in Ezek 38.

Yes, let Israel finish what they started until there is no one left who is hamas. With the live hostages safe Israel can finish this much more destructively (quickly) now. From satellite imagery both Israel and the USA probably have pinpointed entry and exit points for most, maybe all of the remaining tunnels. Blow them all up over night and force the remainder of the conquest of hamas to be on the surface.
