Russian opposition leader Navalny missing from prison, say alarmed allies

Almost Heaven

Well-known
Allies of jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny said on Friday that it was still unclear where he was after prison authorities said he was no longer in the penal colony where he had been serving his sentence. He is said to have last been contacted on December 6.

Navalny, a former lawyer who rose to prominence by lampooning Russia's President Vladimir Putin's elite and alleging vast corruption, was sentenced in August to an additional 19 years in prison on top of 11,5 years he was already serving.

Where exactly he was taken and where he is now, the prison service officials did not say," Navalny's lawyer Vyacheslav Gimadi said.

I went looking earlier today to see if Constantin from Inside Russia had mentioned anything about Navalny going missing. He didn’t bring it up but I will keep an ear out.

It’s an extremely bad sign. Putin wants him dead and the only thing stopping it in the past was world opinion. Putin is less and less concerned about bad press in the west. He’s getting more determined to do what he wants no matter the cost.

Constantin just posted. 27:18 mark at the end of his Friday update on all things Russia.

He detailed the day by day account from Navalny’s lawyer attempting to see him.

Not one but 2 mentions by Peskov - Putins Press Secretary-at the Kremlin about Navalny. That’s a bit odd and combined with the “he is no longer here” statement plus 1 hint of drs equal he’s been eliminated.

But nothing definitive- his body hasn’t been released. That might be due to forensic evidence of being murdered or the regime wants a fog of uncertainty without any evidence either way.

This is also a signal that Putin doesn’t fear public attention at home or abroad and is readying for another phase in his grip on Russia.

The way Putin treats Navalny is a hint of how he will handle any nuclear attack on Ukraine.

It all depends on The Restrainer.

2 coffees later…

why Putin needed to murder his main political opponent (or make him disappear)

because

if Putin wants to do something really nasty - getting Navalny out of the way means that Navalny cannot rally public opinion in Russia against Putin.

Even now there is an undercurrent of dislike for the ongoing war in Ukraine. Putin murdered his old friend and ally Prighozin of the Wagner Group for even criticizing the war in Ukraine.

That almost led to a coup.

which means Putin is getting ready for something that his own people won’t like.

Which says to me that things are primed and ready in Russia and the ONLY THING IN THE WAY

is The Restrainer.

I should clarify that I don't mean that Putin will be restrained until the Rapture.

Just that for the time being, God is restraining Putin from doing what Putin obviously wants to do. Until God lifts the restraints and lets Putin go ahead.

Maybe that will be at the Rapture or a bit before it or even afterwards. God's timing rules over men's wills and wishes. We may not be around to see it happen but if we do, it's one more step towards Russia's moment in prophecy over in Ezek 38 & 39

I'd be ok with WW3 (involving nukes) happening after the rapture. I'd be perfectly fine with that. I don't need to be here for that one.

He turned up alive thank the Lord, in a Siberian prison camp deep inside the Arctic Circle. His team have located him. Visiting will be difficult and letters, parcels and other privileges are non existent.

"Jailed Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny on Tuesday confirmed his arrival at what he described as a snow-swept prison above the Arctic Circle and said he was in excellent spirits despite a tiring 20-day journey to get there.

Navalny posted an update on X via his lawyers after his allies lost touch with him for more than two weeks while he was in transit with no information about where he was being taken, prompting expressions of concern from Western politicians."

...

"About 60 km (40 miles) north of the Arctic Circle, the prison was founded in the 1960s as part of what was once the GULAG system of forced Soviet labour camps, according to the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.

Kira Yarmysh, his spokeswoman, has said she believes the decision to move him to such a remote and inhospitable location was designed to isolate him, make his life harder, and render it more difficult for his lawyers and allies to access him.
