Russian forces deploy at Syrian border under new accord

AKCAKALE, Turkey (AP) — Russian military police began patrols on part of the Syrian border Wednesday, quickly moving to implement an accord with Turkey that divvies up control of northeastern Syria. The Kremlin told Kurdish fighters to pull back from the entire frontier or else face being “steamrolled” by Turkish forces.

Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin reached an agreement Tuesday that would transform the map of northeast Syria, installing their forces along the border and filling the void left by the abrupt withdrawal of American troops. The Kurdish fighters, who once relied on the U.S. forces as protection from Turkey, were given a deadline of next Tuesday evening to pull back from border areas they have not already left.

The new agreement with Russia allows Turkey to keep sole control over that area.

The Russian Defense Ministry said a convoy of military police had crossed the Euphrates River and deployed in the Syrian border town of Kobani.

“The military police will help protect the population, maintain order, patrol the designated areas and assist in the withdrawal of Kurdish units and their weapons 30 kilometers away from the border,” it said.

So, Russia gets involved in the Syrian conflict by an accord made between Russia and Syria, with Russia "filling the void", left when the US pulled out of Syria, and Russia's presence serves as security by patrolling the border to insure protection for the Kurds.

What if,
Russia and Turkey and Iran have been discussing the Syrian border with Israel at those "meeting's" the trio have had over the last couple of years?
What if,
The presence of Russia would also lead to having Turkey and Iran's presence at the border that leads to what is said in Ezekiel 38:7?

"Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies, (I'd interpret that as Troops), that are gathered about you; and be "a guard" for them".

Could it be possible for Russia's"patrolling " Syria's border could begin with that patrolling ("guarding") at the border of Syria and Israel and result in the Gog and Magog war?

(I am terrible at putting thoughts into words, so I hope it is understood what I am addressing here)

I heard this analysis a couple of days ago and it made me go hmmm 🤔.

Thoughts?

Both Russia and Turkey have been in Syria for a long time. Russia has been there for many decades. Syria has been a faithful ally of Russia for many decades.

I think the only real change of significance is the geenlight for Turkey in Syria along their border. The losers are the Kurds, of course.

I know that Russia has had its footprint in Syria for a while. The OP article is new about this Accord, or agreement, and I know Syria is the pathway for the Gog and Magog coalition to invade Israel, and it seems that prophetically it's inching much closer to Ezekiel 38, not that it has to happen tomorrow, but don't you find it interesting how all of a sudden the focus in the middle east has shifted to Syria? That's what made me think about this new agreement and Russia patrolling the border.
It was just a thought.

Take a look at the paragraph out of an article below that I posted in the Israel Middle East forum from November 19. Compare to the OP of this thread.
Why is Russia really patrolling the Syrian border?......

A message to Israel? Russia deploys more forces in Syria's Golan Heights

Russia's decision to make their presence in the Golan Heights comes after Moscow condemned a strike, blamed on Israel, targeting the Iranian consulate in Syria.

Turkish and Russian forces will jointly patrol a strip 10-kilometers (6 miles) deep along the border.

Comparing the two articles clearly shows two reasons for Russia's agreement with Turkey. The OP of this thread doesn't mention Israel.

From the previous article from November, that appears to be the real reason for Russia having it's presence at the Syrian border. It's Israel.

Russian boots on the ground with the agreement over territory that Erdogan evicted the Kurds out of is Erdogan's motive for the agreement between Turkey and Russia. Territory.
But Russia has its own motive for the agreement, and it's clear in the previous article from November that it's about Israel.
But Ezekiel 38 won't happen until God "puts hooks into the jaw of Gog" to make that invasion.

From the previous article from November, that appears to be the real reason for Russia having it's presence at the Syrian border. It's Israel.

There is a rush to hatefully crush Israel and the Kurds before Trump is in the Oval Office. Added pressures on Russia, Turkey, Syria, and even Egypt includes the crumbling of the evil powerhouse, Iran's regime; and the potential to rebuild the violent ISIS in Syria and Muslim brotherhood out of Egypt.

Below is from an article from last summer about Muslim brotherhood that I dug up. I searched for news on some surprising things I'd heard, but I guess it hasn't really hit any radar. Caroline Glick had a recent discussion with the Center for Security Policy's David Wurmser on her show “In-Focus.” According to Wurmser Egypt has shifted away from the west and Israel (wierd) PLUS have released the prisoners in the article.

"They won’t say anything in exchange for their release. That’s the gist of the initiative presented to the Egyptian authorities by the families of thousands of political detainees, in the hope that it leads to their release. In return, they would retire from politics, the media and social media; indeed, from any kind of public life.

The authorities can, according to the proposal, impose other conditions as deemed appropriate by the relevant agencies, in exchange for the return of the forcibly disappeared persons who have been languishing in cells under pretrial detention for years.

Over the course of the past eleven years, there have been a number of humanitarian and human rights initiatives aimed at releasing thousands of political prisoners in Egypt. Ever since the military coup on 3 July, 2013, in fact."

Erdogan has a purpose for having a "foothold" in Syria.
He's considered the leader of the Muslim world and has ambitions to revive The Ottoman Empire and to do this he has to have control over the historical geographics of that Empire and Syria is one of them.
That's why we can observe two different reasons for the Agreement just made between Turkey and Russia.
Russia has eyes on Israel, which will ultimately lead to Ezekiel 38, while Turkey has eyes on Territory.

Turkey's Geopolitical Aspirations: Perspectives on Syria and Lebanon

The modern Turkish state, under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Justice and Development Party (AKP), has been characterized by a revival of neo-Ottoman sentiments, which advocates for increased Turkish authority and influence over regions that were once part of the Ottoman Empire. This paper examines Turkey's views toward Syria and Lebanon within the context of its ambitions for regional hegemony and its perceived desire to reestablish a sphere of influence reminiscent of its Ottoman past.

Turkey and Syria: A Complex Relationship

Historical Context

Turkey's engagement with Syria has historical roots that date back to the Ottoman era when the two regions were part of the same state structure. The dissolution of the Ottoman Empire after World War I and the subsequent establishment of modern nation-states in the Middle East left unresolved territorial and ethnic dynamics, particularly regarding the Kurdish population and opposition groups that have sought autonomy or independence in northern Syria.

Its funny that the 3 main players of the ez coalition have ambitions to have their own empires.

News sources have the Syrian insurgents just outside Homs. If they take Homs tonight the coastal cities will be cut off from Damascus. Damascus will be the last major city to take. If the insurgents aren't slowed down or if they don't over extend themselves they could be just outside Damacus in a couple of days.

Assad has managed to hold power through thick and thin, but it's starting to look like he and his family should permanently relocate to Russia.

I spent the last half hour reading middle east news on Telegram. Russia is now evacuating its personnel from Syria. Iran is evacuating its personnel from Syria. Assad is in Tehran and his family has evacuated to Russia. Within a few days the regime change will likely occur. While Russia is losing an important and strategic ally it might not take long for Russia to make peace with the new regime. A lot of Russian military equipment will fall into the new regime's hands and they'll likely welcome Russian help to maintain all that stuff.

Israel is preparing itself for whatever might happen. They've significantly beefed up military forces on the border with Syria.

Meanwhile judges in Israel insist on tying up Netenyahu in court proceedings expected to last week's beginning in a few days. May the Lord smite those internal enemies of Israel.

Funny how all these tyrannical leaders are the first to abandon their people and not go down with the ship so to speak
I’ve been noticing this today.

Maybe it was news that Fauci (Dr. Mass Doom) may get a Biden pardon, or it’s from trying to understand the various shades of Marxism/Fascism/Nazis from the views of Dinesh D’Souza & James Lindsay; but it’s becoming clearer to me that these anti-God, anti-Jew, anti-Christian leaders use their people.

:threadjack:

What I learned, for one thing, is that Mussolini had fascism — basically the idea of govt. superiority to control industry & resources while allowing citizens to kind of work & innovate. That’s kind of the old Italian mafia family control model. They were not focused on antisemitism. More forceful and vengeful were the Communists and Nazis. They were devoted to violence against any who disagreed, especially Jews.

Each of these views, and Islam is included, thrive on hatred and a lust for power to some degree. They are rulers today in many nations. Ultimately, these sort of leaders abandon their people.

The USSR has been in Syria since at least the 1970s.

Russian has "always" been a very useful language throughout the Middle East.
Spoken more commonly than English except in Israel and some places close to US/UK military.
Using it instead of whatever dialect(s) of Arabic someone happened to speak masked the person's origins, at least somewhat.
