Russia threatens to nuke Elon Musk's Starlink with strike in space

Russia should use nuclear weapons in space to destroy all Elon Musk's Starlink satellites, demands Vladimir Putin's most prominent TV propagandist. The call came after the SpaceX entrepreneur acted to block Kremlin forces using the satellite internet constellation without authorisation to attack Ukraine.

Putin's mouthpiece Vladimir Solovyov said: "Let's tell the truth about what Starlink is.
"It is the militarisation of space, because everything that Musk has worked on, everything that we see now, is in the interests of a war against Russia."

Urging a strike in space on Starlink's orbiting satellites, he demanded: "I do not understand why, for example, Elon Musk's satellites are not a legitimate target for us?

"One detonation of nuclear weapons in space, as I understand it, solves this problem quite seriously."

Putin is just ticked off with Musk for stopping him using Musk's Starlink to attack Ukraine.

It's the usual Russian bloviating when thwarted. The equivalent of a 3 year old having a massive tantrum at the grocery store when denied candy.

The weaker the position, the louder the screaming.

The key is who is doing the talking, and this one is so low on the food chain at the Kremlin he works on TV. Yes he's a propagandist, but he's done this before and he's been used in the past that I recall to soften up Russian opinion and improve Putin's ratings at home. And it's unlikely he even wrote his own material. The Kremlin fed it to him as a script.

Which is what this sounds like.

He is silly, the idea isn't serious but the peasants watching TV at home enjoy hearing it and Putin gains some popularity. It also keeps the less experienced or sensational western journalists guessing as to Putin's sincerity about using nukes in space. Which also warms the cockles of the hearts at the Kremlin. Useful idiots make them feel warm and fuzzy.

It's part of the way Russians give and recieve insults at home (and abroad)

It's been interesting to me to see a publicly traded American corporation interfering in individual nation-state affairs. Starlink assets are definitely a legitimate military target for more than one country. Don't know that we'll see any of those assets targeted and destroyed though...

yes, that does strike the eye! It may be an indicator of how the 10 kings shapes up. Perhaps some combination of technocracy along with a division of the world into geo political zones. Still think that the rise of such multinational mega corporations is significant.

I also think that Putin knows well enough NOT to mess around with Starlink and others like that - he depends on them just as much as the west does.

3 years in, and thousands of russian military are dying each month, against a vastly inferior military. Its a blood bath on both sides.

Russia is over hyped military wise, and all the keeps them in any kind of power are their thousands of nukes.
Another reason to wonder if it's going to take a bit longer to get to the Gog Magog stage than the prophecy watching community seems currently ready to accept.

I'm not saying that the Rapture is not able to happen right now, just that the GM war of Ezek 38 might not be tomorrow.
