The stock jumped 102% to $14.53 Monday afternoon, putting Rumble on track for its highest close since Sept. 19, 2022, and marking the largest same-day percentage increase on record, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

The company announced that Tether had agreed to purchase about 103.3 million shares at $7.50 a share. Rumble said it anticipates using $250 million to support growth initiatives. The remaining proceeds will fund a self-tender offer for up to 70 million Class A common shares.

youtube warned me the other day that i only had 3 ad-free vids left before theyd block me from watching. i had to either disable my adblocker, or pay them. i ignored it and the warning hasnt yet returned but i wonder if this is one factor behind the surge to rumble.

Perhaps. In general it just seems that people are kind of getting tired of big Tech dictating online ettiquette. I'd be interested to know if they actually follow through with blocking you.

In my estimation, rumble seems to be the ancestor of Parlor. I don't know if you recall them. Blocked from Amazon server use. Parlor got shut down by establishment media shakedown. And pretty much lost the fight. But Rumble seems to be doing extremely well. And made Dow Jones history in so doing. My understanding is that Rumble is a hopeful to rival YouTube and provide free speech video home even if YouTube is shut down. I believe we live in an amazing time to see establishment media taking such hits today:

• Tucker gets fired and becomes more powerful in terms of followers than Fox having 100's of thousands of "watching now" live views at any one time
• Liberal "Plus" channel options dissolving
• joe scarborough (staunch Trump hater media persona) coming to see Trump at Mar-1-Lago
• Twitter repurposed drowning out woke voices
• Jeff Bazo (Amazon owner) suggesting left leaning media tone it down (because readership is increasingly decreasing)
• Alternative Media becoming more powerful than networks

...and the list goes on. Interesting time to be alive.
