Released Hostage May be Flown to Qatar

Have not seen a thread posted on this yet. Amir did a video and was incensed. I feel that in light of the plane gift, this really stinks, frankly.

US reportedly mulling spiriting Alexander to Qatar for Trump meet

The Ynet news site reports that American officials are looking into the possibility of whisking Edan Alexander and his family to Qatar to meet US President Donald Trump, who is visiting the region this week.

According to the report, which does not cite a source, Alexander would fly there with US Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff, though any plans would be dependent on the freed hostage’s health.

That poor family seems agreeable to it so far. I hope they change their minds.The very idea of his putting his foot down in a country that funds terrorism and celebrated Oct 7 is appalling.

I still occasionally listen to Amir, but IMO, over the last few years, he has lost some credibility.

I did listen to as much as I could to today’s video. Something seemed off from his normal demeanor.

The hostage just wants to GO HOME.
Either that or kill those, who killed other hostages/countrymen.
NOT be used as a public relations PAWN.
Especially on enemy soil.

I used to listen to him a lot. I don’t listen to him anymore because of his views during COVID. I don’t think badly of him though.

I think it's because of how angry and upset he was over how this hostage, a member of his IDF military was treated and is now being taken from captivity and paraded in Qatar (the same country that funds Hamas and the Oct 7 attack) as a prize trophy. "if his health can stand it".

Considering how vulnerable Israel is to the US whims about giving the weapons they paid for, I'm sure there is pressure within Israel to make it happen if the poor man can still stand upright.

Whether the Americans see it or not, this is a tremendous Public Relations win for Hamas and Qatar. They are seen as the reasonable benevolent ones, while the IDF soldier is exhibited as a gift from Hamas who literally said "without strings" to Trump.

Qatar is even seen as the hero who helped Trump negotiate for this hostage with their Hamas employees.

So Amir saw that Qatar gave a gift to Trump (the flying palace of a plane) and Hamas gave a gift to Trump and the world stage will applaud, and call it peace, and renew demands for 2 state solutions, and paint Hamas as the reasonable ones.

This is a Public Relations COUP for Islam, Hamas, Qatar (and Qatar's puppet masters Iran)

Israel looks like the loser here and that is why Amir felt like vomiting as he said at the end of the broadcast.

I don't feel he's lost credibility- there have been a couple of news reports he gave that he's retracted, but that has happened to many people like him who try to report the news as it's happening or very shortly after.
