What was going on in NYC/NJ just before or at the time of the lightning strike? (Statue of Liberty actually in NJ), or was it because the Statue of Liberty is a national symbol of the United States or representation of the great liberty we have (and has been greatly abused)?

This reminds me of the sudden tornado that hit Central Lutheran Church (ELCA) and next-door Minneapolis Convention Center at the exact moment the ELCA convocation was debating and voting to perform gay "marriage" and ordain homosexuals.

On a day when no severe weather was predicted or expected...a tornado forms, baffling the weather experts—most saying they’ve never seen anything like it. It happens right in the city. The city: Minneapolis.

The tornado happens on a Wednesday...during the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's national convention in the Minneapolis Convention Center. The convention is using Central Lutheran across the street as its church. The church has set up tents around it’s building for this purpose. According to the ELCA’s printed convention schedule, at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 19, the 5th session of the convention was to begin. The main item of the session: “Consideration: Proposed Social Statement on Human Sexuality.” The issue is whether practicing homosexuality is a behavior that should disqualify a person from the pastoral ministry.

Rare, yes, same here in MD. We had about a 4 hit back in 2011. The east coast isn't immune, we have underlying fault lines too.

Here is a clip of the coverage from the UN meeting when the earthquake hits right as they are talking about how Israel has harmed Gazans and destroyed all aspects of their regular life!! And this on the same day as a lightning strike on the Statue of Liberty! I know lightning strikes on the SofL are not uncommon, but coupled with the earthquake while the UN is condemning Israel, and all on the heels of Biden threatening to withdraw our support from Israel-- there's no way these are coincidences. Our God is truly awesome!

Maybe there are so many lightning strikes on Lady Liberty because the UN constantly promotes and perpetrates evil, especially when it comes to Israel.

And maybe because of the corruption, crime, etc. on Wall Street.

It would be interesting to correlate the lightning strikes with what happened that day/night.
of course, us "little people" might not be privy to everything going on, so some strikes might seem random or happenstance
