The more I have studied American and world history, the more I have come to admire Dwight D Eisenhower. In this short video clip, recorded on the D-Day beaches 20 years after the event, he speaks from his heart. He was a godly man and I cannot imagine the care and the guilt he must have borne knowing that it was his decisions that resulted in so many losing their lives and their health. He had no choice, of course; that was forced on him by Hitler and his Nazis. But nonetheless, what a burden he bore. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven.

His advice is sound. Too bad the past few generations including the current one have no idea of this. And you and I know that the peace that he prayed for in this world will only come when Christ rules and reigns from Jerusalem.

President Eisenhower, you said we need to work towards eternal peace in this world. The only way to do that is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, because only He can --and will-- bring peace. He alone is the peace that this world needs.
