i24 News – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday reported intercepting a Hezbollah drone “deep inside Lebanon.” Several missiles were fired from Lebanon towards the areas near the northern communities of Avivim and Malkia, to which the IDF responded with artillery shelling toward the sources of the fire.
Initial reports suggest that an IDF soldier, driving the truck that got allegedly hit by a Hezbollah anti-tank missile near the Israeli border outpost in the Yiftah area, was wounded. The IDF is said to be actively responding.
IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account that “a drone was detected approaching Israeli territory from Lebanon,” when the surveillance system “successfully intercepted deep in Lebanese territory.”
