Norwegian Oil and Shipping Company Announces Immediate Halt as Fuel Provider to U.S. Forces and Ships in Norway Ports

Haltbakk Bunkers, one of Norway’s largest marine fuel suppliers, has officially announced it will stop providing fuel to American military forces and vessels in Norwegian ports.

This fuel boycott came directly in response to a high-profile clash between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

President Trump, accompanied by Vice President J.D. Vance, chastised Zelensky for his ingratitude toward U.S. aid and his reluctance to engage in peace negotiations with Russia.

Now, Haltbakk Bunkers declared it would cease supplying fuel to American military forces and ships in Norwegian ports.

Norway is a NATO country and a founding member. This could get interesting very quickly. The company may be compelled by the govmint of Norway to supply the needs of the US military, and to do so pleasantly. There are no US military bases in Norway but the US has military personnel at four bases in Norway.

This could get verrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting with the Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) in the Sinai. Norway's in charge and the US provides an infantry Battalion plus key support troops and civilians, and observers. Now is not the time for significant change in the MFO, due to the changing tactical and strategic situation there.

I agree with
So It begins.....

This is the beginning of the end of US participation (and funding of) NATO.

FWIW, In spite of NATO expansion and Western economic sanctions, etc. provoking Gog/USSR to at least some degree (Gog/USSR/Eastern Bloc did their share of provoking, as well), I think European NATO countries are right about Gog/USSR being the aggressor, especially with regard to what they did to civilians, hospitals, total destruction, etc.

Given how fast everything can move these days, we could very well be out of NATO before Holy Week. Although moving all of the troops, equipment, families, etc. out of Europe will take time.

I think if I were an accompanied Soldier there, even it were at our expense, I'd send my family back to the US now, while they could still take the pet(s) and more than a small suitcase. Although it would be mostly for their safety.

Norwegian Defense Minister Forced to Intervene After Fuel Supplier Threatens to Cut Off U.S. Military Vessels

A Norwegian marine fuel supplier just learned a harsh lesson in geopolitics after its attempt to cut off the U.S. military backfired spectacularly.

Haltbakk Bunkers, one of Norway’s major fuel providers, announced it would no longer supply fuel to American military vessels in Norwegian ports. The reason? A temper tantrum over President Donald Trump’s unapologetic America First foreign policy.

The Norwegian government had no choice but to intervene. Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik issued an official statement reaffirming that the Norwegian government does not support Haltbakk Bunkers’ reckless decision and that the U.S. military will continue to receive all necessary support in Norway.

The statement reads:

"We have seen reports raising concerns about support for US Navy vessels in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian government’s policy. I can confirm that all requested support has been provided.

The U.S. and Norway maintain a close and strong defense cooperation. American forces will continue to receive the supply and support they require from Norway."
Translation: A leftist-run company attempted to undermine U.S. military operations, but the Norwegian government knows better than to sever ties with its strongest ally.
