Newsom Signs Executive Order to Crack Down on California’s Consumption of Soda, Candy, Processed Foods

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) this week signed an executive order to crack down on the state’s consumption of soda, candy and certain processed foods.

Newsom directed state agencies to recommend actions to limit processed foods and investigate food dyes and food ingredients that pose a risk.

Additionally, Newsom is seeking to reduce the purchase of soda, candy, and foods with additives.

I think every resident of California should buy a fountain pop and a bag of potato chips/other junk snack food every day until Gov gets tired. Maybe leave them curbside in front of the Gov's mansion.

Does this mean he wants to keep the produce, nuts, and dairy in California, and deprive everyone else? :eek: :apost: :ban:

If he does, higher prices to eat healthy outside of California during Northern Hemisphere growing season.
 
I think it is beyond the scope of our federal or state govmints to tell us what we can and cannot eat. I'd like to see some court decisions where the judges write in their opinions that the law is null and void because that authority doesn't reside with the state or federal govmint, but with the people, who can decide for themselves...
