"Toyota recently unveiled a four-legged mobility robot that can go where wheels cannot, and specializes in tasks that are difficult in a wheelchair such as climbing up stairs and positioning passengers to get into cars.
Debuted by the carmaker at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, it consists of an ergonomic seat mounted on four mechanical legs that are designed to mimic some of the surest-footed animals on Earth like the mountain goat."

I want one! But I'm betting it will be so expensive that I'll never be able to afford it. Well, once it's put into production I'm sure it will help many. And that is a huge benefit for wheelchair bound people.

Very cool, I wonder why they didn't show a live person using it with the stairs...must not be fully working yet? I would love to see more and more technology used to make live easier, especially for those with disabilities.

Wouldn't it be cool if Walk Me could transfer a disabled person to a self-driving vehicle, which would take the person to the doctor, grocery store, etc., then transfer the person out and take him or her inside, etc.
