Minnesota: ‘Nearly Every’ Somali Household with Children Is on Welfare

More than 8-in-10 households headed by Somali refugees in the state of Minnesota are on one or more forms of American taxpayer-funded welfare, new data published by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals.

The data, based on 10 years of data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS), shows drastic disparities between native-born American households and Somali-born households in Minnesota, where nearly 80,000 residents have Somali ancestry compared to zero who had Somali ancestry in 1990.

In particular, the data shows that 81 percent of Minnesota households headed by Somali refugees are on one or more forms of welfare, including 27 percent who are on cash welfare, 54 percent who are on food stamps, and 73 percent who are on Medicaid.

I get so angry at people who, like Walz, are bent and bound for leather to do everything possible to:

1. Support all ILLEGAL ALIENS no matter the cost to those who’ve become American citizens the LEGAL way. The argument about them not committing any crime doesn’t wash - the minute they stepped over the border, they became criminals. If they self depot they have a chance to become citizens. Those who refuse make me wonder why stay? If they really wanted to become a US CITIZEN, they would do the right thing;

2. Promote DEI, Antifa, defunding the police, promote the infiltration of transexuals and gender mental illness making our kids so confused (at the very least) and encouraging them to have surgery to modify their gender that’s irreversible;

3. Support illegal criminals who are “voted” into office and then tax the holy heck out of American taxpayers, neglect our Vets (many are home), and rob from hardworking people so that illegals get healthcare, SNAP, etc., which overloads the system that this was never intended for;

4. Promote the “affordable care act/Obummer care” which never got off the ground in the first place, and instead morphing Medicaid, WHICH WAS NEVER INTENDED for healthy adults.

Yes, each and every company, employer and healthcare provider should be fined for what they’ve been getting away with (if the shoe fits).
Not only did God save America by not allowing Kamala to win, He really helped Americans by keeping Walz away the second highest office in our country!

Walz and the Democrats (Barry) Because of pushed Minnesota into a left-leaning decline, with high taxes (gotta pay for all those freebies that the ILLEGALS have no business getting), misplaced priorities handling crime (defunding the police only helps that), and the worst yet, allowing abortion up to and including birth! This has got to be one of the best (really sinful) examples of what is abominable (killing a newborn baby! This state is a prime example of cultural decay that stems from a lack of belief in the God of the Bible. Not allah, but Yahweh, Creator of all that is, was and will be!

According to USA Today “ (funds stolen from the fraud that Walz is being investigated for, “went to al-Shabaab, a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist group in Somalia.”

President Trump , 12/5/2025, ordered a review of green cards issued to migrants from 19 countries of concern, including Somalia. And, in a Thanksgiving message posted on Truth Social where he announced that he would “permanently pause” migration from “Third World” countries, he particularly blasted the Somali community in Minnesota. The state has the largest population of those with reported Somali heritage in the country, according to U.S. Census Bureau data, and Trump claimed they are “completely taking over” the state. IMHO, until the USA can get a handle on all of the ILLEGALS that were allowed into America by the last administration, all green cards should stop being offered.

I wonder if the reason for the high rates of welfare is that wife #2, #3, and #4 aren't counted as married to the man by law, so they're counted as single-parent families and easily qualify for welfare, WIC, SNAP, Section 8, etc. islamic families consisting of a man, his four "wives," and their children often live in four-plexes, and the by structuring "rent," etc. the man quickly owns the property free-and-clear, courtesy the taxpayers. Pooling resources and sharing labor, childcare, etc., also means these families also live very well (economics-wise). 3 of every 4 "wives" getting government money, alone, would account for a 75 percent welfare rate. With the very high birth rates, at least some of the men with their wife #1 probably qualify for assistance, as well.



I surely hope this isn't used as an excuse to change the law to allow polygamy (creeping sharia)


IIRC, it was sometime in the last couple of years that Minneapolis changed its zoning and codes to allow four-plexes in places where they were previously disallowed
