Media reports EU cuts to Ukraine assistance bigger than realized

TCC

Well-known

(MENAFN) Ukraine is experiencing more severe reductions in EU financial assistance than publicly disclosed, according to reports from Ukrainian and German media. The EU reportedly views Kyiv’s recent crackdown on anti-corruption agencies as a move to protect a political ally of President Vladimir Zelensky.

Last Friday, the European Commission announced it would cut the fourth installment of support under the Ukraine Facility program from the planned €4.5 billion ($5.2 billion) to €3.05 billion ($3.5 billion), citing Ukraine’s failure to fulfill commitments on anti-corruption reforms.

Ukrainskaya Pravda reported that the program is effectively frozen, along with another funding mechanism, ERA Loans, putting a total of $60 billion in aid at risk. Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung shared details of an EU letter warning Ukraine of potential aid suspension.

The Ukrainian government recently placed the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) under the control of the prosecutor general. These bodies, established with Western support, were meant to operate independently to combat high-level corruption. After international criticism, Zelensky pledged to reverse the move, with related legislation expected to be voted on soon.

Erdogan states Turkey will be key venue for Ukraine-Russia peace negotiations

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed optimism on Monday that Türkiye will once again serve as a key venue for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, suggesting that talks aimed at ending the conflict may resume on Turkish soil.

“Just as the negotiation table (between Russia and Ukraine) was established in Istanbul, the peace table will also be established in Türkiye in the not-too-distant future, and this bloody war will come to an end,” Erdogan said following a Cabinet meeting in Ankara.

This statement comes after Russia and Ukraine conducted their third round of renewed peace discussions in Istanbul on July 23, building on previous talks held in May and June.

Good for the EU.
In general, the way I have understood this sort of thing Hollie, is that the Ukraine was slatted for corruption when America did a coup in it. Setting up a globalist offshore country to money launder in. All that money voted to go to Ukraine is not tracked. Overseas monies voted on by Congress can often be just ways to pay themselves, their friends, fund offshore projects, give Soros his play money..etc. I would also see the globalist idea to use NATO for their ends as well.

So for me, the Ukraine is basically a globalist crime syndicates Disneyland. During the 2024 campgaign for US President, one of the litmus tests was if you favored funding the war in Ukraine. Because for the right it amounted to money laudnering for globalism. So to me, the war in Ukraine served to launder money, create conditions for a globals reset (since COVID economic shutdowns did not work), start wars all over the place so globalism can reroute history to their making. Having, in my estimation, nothing to do with democracy. Or keeping the West free. But just using that as a billboard to launder money and get us into WW3.

The bigger picture I would see is that the FED is the hub for supplying the world. If criminals can print money and use that (not their own) they can fund many things. Some believe the reason why socialism in some places in the world might work because it is subsided by US FED printed money. It works because capitalism pays for it...lol. So to whatever degree that is accurate, it would come down to the EU not wanting the war if they have to pay for it themselves. Removing the US from that money funnel is excellent strategy.

It makes sense in looking back how Trump kind of maneuvers. He seems to operate within the sphere of political climate for the times (so as not to destroy infrastructure), like when he and Johnson (speaker) "loaned" money to Ukraine without harsh payback terms. Some saw that as Trump being the swamp. But now that we can see where this road had led, to dry up NATO and EU Ukraine funding options, it seemed like a tip of the hat to the "then" system in place, while moving to literally waving it goodbye. Which is what seems to be happening.

What I have noticed with Trump is there can tend to be a lot of drama when he does something. And then that narrative stick in the hearts of some...seemingly forever. But I don't think it is possible to accurately pulse Trump if we just look at one thing or one short span of time. Because he seems to be a president that is simultaneously moving massive infrustructrue worldwide towards ends that cannot be fathomed isolated into 5 minutes in time increments.

One of the prevailing winds of today is that Trump is not going to do anything to Obama because of how we saw their level of friendiness toward one another at Jimmy Carter's funeral. It satisfies a view that all politicians are just only playing mind games with us. Understandable in how America has been treated over the decades. Amen. But the trajectory of things and themes related to Crossfire Hurricane and the 2020 election and now too Epstien...lol...which is taking some strange turns...were themes already developed years ago. Way before buddy buddy videos at a funeral. It was known that Obama told Trump 45 to ignore Kim Jong Un of North Korea. But instead, Trump did a photo op with him in North Korean Demilitarized Zone. Like, "In your face, Obama." lol.

So to me, it took months not hours or days to end the Ukraine war (things to say to get elected). But the sentiment to end that war is well underway and solves other problems with it along the way. Like positioning America simultanously with leverage over the EU and dealing mainly with nation states instead. Priceless. :) Blessings.
