Major rabbi says Gog/Magog War will begin (and end) on Wednesday

I hope he's right. We'll see. But I'm not staying up late to watch on TV.

Rabbi Yitzchok Zilberstein, a prominent Orthodox rabbi in Israel, recently gave a lesson to his students in Ramat Elchanan, Bnei Brak, in which he said that the War of Gog and Magog would take place in its entirety in the three hours before dawn on Wednesday, the Jewish holiday of Hoshanna Rabba (Booths).

Complete article is at Israel365 news site.

Israel 365 is known for their sensationalism.
I've yet to discover a prediction that has become true.

Won't hold it entirely for impossible though.
(Even a broken clock is correct twice a day)

ETA: and if he's right, we'll meet UP very soon.
Now that would be awesome!

Well I suspect it might be rude to check in with him on Thursday to ask how his prophetic skills are faring this week. He might feel a tad sensitive on the subject.

However a quick scan of the article also points out that many religious Jews are putting themselves in harms way sitting in their tabernacles (booths) instead of bomb shelters.

Praying for their preservation and salvation.

Kind of like the nuke-proof desks at school

I'd rather be in a tabernacle and rely on God than go anywhere near a bomb shelter, basement, cave, etc. :tap:

I reckon the Lord will supernaturally protect them

I wonder how well his credibility as a teacher will be if he is wrong…..Not good.
Another false prophet exposed.
Wednesday dawn has come and gone in Israel, without the Ez. 38 war.

But they don't see it that way, because he wrote a very nice escape in his post:

Bartenura writes that ... the war of Gog and Magog will begin in Sukkot. ...“Therefore,” he said, “we must strive not to spoil things. In other words, everything depends on us, on each and every one of us. This is a time of special favor, and we must try not to spoil it, meaning to make every effort to fulfill Hashem’s will, each person according to their ability.”

So this guy can go and find another obscure teacher from the Middle Ages and post another faulty theory next week.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Ad nauseam....

Oh he's a piece of work, he neatly blames his failure on the people who spoiled it- those naughty sinners who didn't put out their best efforts. As you say he gives himself a free pass- God didn't fulfill it yet because the people didn't make every effort possible.

or as we say in our family S'Not my fault with the emphasis on SNOT

Reminds me of something Jesus said about putting loads on peoples backs that they themselves couldn't carry. Matt 23:1-4 NIV
1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

Since they swear only on the torah , the faithful should ask him how much of a headstart he'd like before they commence throwing stones at him LOL
