Recently new people moved into the house next to me. I watched the next afternoon as the man walked around the neighborhood putting his garbage into other folks garbage cans including mine and he did not ask permission. I kind of made up my mind that I was not going to like these neighbors. The following day the Holy Spirit (had to be Him) impressed on me to take a cake over and welcome them to the neighborhood. I didn't want to do that!!! But I did.
That Friday the woman showed up at ladies Bible study and she seemed nice and thanked me several times for the cake. Well, I said to self, I'm sure glad I welcomed her instead of giving her a piece of my mind about the garbage thing. Today at Bible study she said "I was raised to know about God but don't feel I know Him, that's why I'm here. We had a chance to give her some guidance and I hope to get some more private time with her soon. Oh thank you Father for keeping me from being a foolish idiot and spouting off about something that didn't make a bit of difference when an eternal soul is at stake!!!!
