Lindell to Restore Minnesota’s Flag, Ban Satanic Symbols from Capitol

ST. PAUL, Minn. — MyPillow founder and conservative activist Mike Lindell told the Todd Starnes Radio Show that restoring Minnesota’s former state flag would be among his first official acts if he is elected governor, framing the issue as part of a broader effort to reverse changes made under Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.

Lindell sharply criticized the new state flag adopted earlier this year, saying he would immediately reinstate the previous design if voters put him in office.

“Absolutely. First day,” Lindell said of the old flag. “That was so sick what he did to us and change that flag.”

Lindell also used the discussion to attack Walz over unrelated cultural and religious issues, alleging that a satanic statue was placed inside the Minnesota Capitol.

Hope Lindell wins!

Politics aside, Mike Lindell is as bad, or worse, than President Trump, with regard to speaking rashly before thinking.

Mike's not well respected enough here to win (I don't think, anyway), in part because of his ties to President Trump, and partly because of past political blunders locally. The "never-trumpers" have gained a lot of allies here because of immigration enforcement actions here.

I didn't know that. I'm sorry to hear it.

I was thinking it was good to see Minnesota supporting Trump, but I guess it's the opposite.

Mike is kind of too commercial for my blood. But I like his recovery/salvation story. I believe, last I heard, that he is kind of semi-NAR. Not certain on that though. Maybe to one degree or another. But from Waltz as potential VP to being replaced by Mike Lindell...lol...that there is an incredible cartoon irony. I tend to agree with @Tall Timbers on this one. Better a guy that is going to bump into things and make all kinds of potentially embarrassing mistakes along the way but genuinely mean well than a crime syndicate mob boss. Normally we can say "Alot can happen between now and then." But this year, 2026, I believe that applies more than any other year in modern history I can think of.

There are a lot of Trump supporters here and also a lot of people, who don't like him and/or his politics.

Most people in Minnesota are by-the-issue, rather than by-the-party or by-the-politician. Although, if a politician has offended a group or made a serious enough blunder/gaffe, it might not make any difference what his or her stance is on an issue(s).

Minnesota is extremely politically active. Fortunately, people are almost always respectful of each other's opinions here, although "Minnesota Nice" often means people will probe gently to ascertain whether or not political discussion may cause hard feelings, etc. before engaging in such conversation. People don't avoid political discussion, though.

I'm not sure what the fallout is going to be here with regard to publicized fraud involving Somalis, publicized fraud involving DFL administration, and publicized immigration raids/deportations.

Mike Lindell could be a great Governor or he could be an awful Governor, BUT it's obvious about his lack of brain/tongue filter AND right now he is a lightning rod type pariah that the rabid left will rally against with the highest of vim and vigor!
