Lesbian stars as Jesus in new Jesus Christ Superstar

dwb

Well-known
A lesbian is staring as Jesus in new Jesus Christ Superstar. I don't really know what to say other than the woke left will do anything and everything to pervert Christianity. Having a gay woman headline this play is just being vile to make a point. I read recently at the Democrat Socialist Party meeting that the abolition of the nuclear family is one of the main goals. No wonder the left does what it does.

I need to remind myself daily of this. It's easy to blame the woke left and they deserve some of the blame however....

Ephesians 6:12 CSB
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.

I thought the music in the first one was awful and I didn't see the play or movie or whatever it was, so I can only imagine how disgusting this version is. The only song I heard from the first one was Jesus Christ Super Star which I thought was disgusting and an insult to our Lord.

that's what I have always heard and never saw the show. I do remember seeing "Godspell" twice and it was respectful, but it's been a long time so not positive.

That's just goes to show us how merciful and patient God is with us. I wouldn't have that kind of restraint.
Some people refuse to accept Jesus want to continue not believing, and others will finally get saved before it is too late. Either they die without Jesus or they will be left behind in the tribulation. We know from scripture there will be those who get saved in the tribulation.

It's a travesty. The world would never dare mock muhammad that way. If I really think about it, I get ill.

And yet I look at her. She is miserable. It wears on her face and her body. Her lifestyle is killing her. She needs Jesus as much as we all do, and He would have us pray for her. He would never turn her away if she called on Him in repentence. He loves her and would heal her.

Like many here, my heart grieves and is heavy at the shocking ungodliness portrayed. And yet I have to be so very careful to not allow my heart to also be darkened in response (truly dependence on God and His power is essential). It's a real struggle in the midst of the population I live in the midst of!!

Last year while reading this passage below, I was struck at the vast generosity of the free gift of Salvation and God's overarching desire of those He wants to see saved.

The focus of the passage is about leaders but I also learn He wants everyone to be saved and that Jesus' death is atonement for all people, for their freedom.....if they so choose. Freeing, Eternal Life is available for all.

The enemy of my soul would have me to forget this and instead respond in a way that moves me from a path that would have me pray for and seek the Lord to hook into His will and purposes in following path that furthers His plans for this.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For,

There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.

I would offer the old age becoming new . History repeating because of moral issues. Time today like in the days of Jesus, the Son of man.

The atheist Jewish woman gathered themselves together in an upside-down women lib demanding his and hers gods in the likeness of dying mankind with full approval from the hen-pecked unloving husbands

When confronted by the powerful will of the written word. They denied its unseen authority of the Holy Father. They declared they will rather do whatsoever their own sinful mouth declares. Oral traditions I heard it through the grape vine of dying mankind

Not the right kind of women's lib that His bride the church is liberated by. . . as it is written

Sound D Trump make Christianity great again. . take a chance with AD Vance. LOL

Jerimaih 44:15;Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,;As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee.;But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.;But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.;And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

His and hers towels OK .

His and hers gods.. . earthly inspired of the devil

Girlcott the movie. . . no Christians the bride of Christ allowed

I'm with no means standing up for this woman, but why would you call her Jewish, @G Lee?

From wikipedia:

Erivo was born on 8 January 1987 to Nigerian immigrant parents in Stockwell, London, England.
Both of Erivo's parents arrived in the UK in their early twenties and they separated when she was very young.
Following this, she and her younger sister Stephanie were raised by their mother, a nurse.
Erivo attended La Retraite Roman Catholic Girls' School in Clapham Park.

It seems to me that what's showcased more and more in our age is a worldly paganism that unfortunately has increasingly taken hold in the U.S. entertainment.

The Church needs to keep her guard up against this through the Word of God...... alone. Not embracing 'new' teachings but stay focused on God's protective teaching of His Word.

And, to those who are not yet believers, consider what God's Word strongly encourages for your eternal good:

This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls....

And, beware of refusing His instruction and offer:

But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’

Jeremiah 6:16

For in vs 19 the the fruit of refusing God's path is disaster!

Listen!

.....Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

John 6:39-40
