After hundreds of anti-Israel protesters swarmed campus buildings and set up barricades at the University of California, Irvine, local law enforcement agencies responded and students were ordered to leave immediately on Wednesday.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a UC Irvine spokesperson said that the campus erupted into chaos after several hundreds of protesters entered the Physical Sciences Lecture Hall on the California campus and began to barricade the building at 2:30 p.m. PST.

The university said that it put out a call to local law enforcement and received immediate assistance from the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Many years in state prison for the paid agitators and those who stepped across the line into rioting is also a great deterrent. The conspirators funding these unlawful activities should find their organizations declared to be criminal organizations and should also get a prison cell, perhaps for the rest of their lives.

It would be nice if sentencing guidelines were as tough as you suggest, but they are nowhere near that.

Just as one example, in the state of Washington (remember Seattle), the prison sentence for a convicted rioter is 1-10 years. I'm sure if I did more searching I'd find that sentences else where for that crime are similar or even longer.

The issue isn't existing sentencing guidelines, it's the current lack of rule of law with criminals not even going to trial, but being released with no charges (since they're leftists).
