By grace, through faith in Jesus

A policy rider that House Republicans reportedly added......would restrict the type of flags flown over State Department facilities.....

......Rep. Mark Takano, D-Calif., scolded GOP lawmakers for "forcing their own discriminatory views on the men and women serving our country abroad," adding the move is "downright un-American," and that "House Republicans should be ashamed of themselves."

Under the final appropriations legislation, the appropriated funds cannot be "obligated or expended" to fly a flag over such buildings that are not the U.S. flag, the Foreign Service flag, the POW/MIA flag, the Hostage and Wrongful Detainee flag, a flag representing a state or District of Columbia at domestic locations, an Indian Tribal flag, an agency flag, or a sovereign flag of other countries, the outlet noted......

Seems like Rep. Takano's reasoning can very much be made for the GOP's argument.

There are those I know who've suffered from others, "forcing their own discriminatory views on the men and women serving our country abroad."

At the same time, I recognize that those in alternative lifestyles have suffered at the hands of others. But, the answer is not to force the choice of continued suffering onto others but rather taking hold of the free gift of salvation with resulting freedom, healing and joy through faith in Jesus, Who deeply cares. Who desires our peace and blessings.

He truly understands and offers that which is so much better then any human solutions and answers.

From a diplomatic point of view, simply not flying a flag, which offends the host country, especially when outlawed by host country law or religion, makes sense. State Department and military women stationed in some countries, depending on circumstances, have to follow visible aspects of sharia (dress, not driving, not being alone without a male family member/chaperone, etc.), so there is precedent for U.S. on foreign soil accommodating host-nation sensibilities. Note that military operations trump accommodation.

From a Biblical perspective, flying a pride flag, and at the same time prohibiting flying a Christian flag, shows our country's allegiance and values are not longer to God and Biblical, but have shifted to satan, and this change has been officially codified in law, policy, and/or procedure :puke:

Dear God, please hurry up! :rapture:
