More like Him daily until faith is sight
I just noticed this article from another forum and after finding Geri Ungurian’s site, I see that it’s actually from 2015, but still VERY timely because of things we are seeing in our own country.
The author talks about the present deception that seems to be taking on more “pastors” who believe that “….Allah and our God are one and the same. He told me that Muslims see God through the lens of Muhammad, and that Christians see Him through the lens of Jesus Christ. This is heresy!” I have to agree with her, especially in today’s landscape.
I started wondering…..”how many churches in the USA believe that God (Yahweh) of the Bible and Allah are the same?” So my search began. The very first one I came across, go figure, was the Catholic Church……..”. Question Box: Do we worship the same God? - The Catholic Messenger
“Q: Do Christians worship the same God as Muslims?
A: Yes. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all profess only one God. They are the three major monotheistic religions. All three also trace their origins back to Abraham and are, therefore, called the “Abrahamic religions.” All three also place great importance on sacred texts and are referred to sometimes as the three “religions of the book.” Christianity accepts the Hebrew Scriptures (what we call the “Old Testament”) as well as the Gospels and other books of the New Testament, comprising the Christian Bible. Islam regards the Bible as God’s revelations to earlier prophets, but does not believe it to be sacred per se or inerrant.”
That search had MULTIPLE articles affirming their stance on this subject and they definitely believe this. And this false teaching isn’t just Catholic doctrine. In this article, I see this part of it as something that belongs on a Tee shirt, but a billboard may be needed:
“Let’s look at the God of the Bible and Allah. It’s important for us to be able to explain the truth to others, when so many are being deceived. First of all, our God is a Triune God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Look at this passage from the Old Testament:
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26).
God was telling us from the beginning that He is Triune! I wonder how I missed this as a Jewish child growing up in the synagogue.
The moon god of Islam has nothing in common with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. One day, Mohammed will bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The God we worship is one God, existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The term “Godhead” is mentioned in the Bible three times in Acts 17:29, Romans 1:29 and in Mark 14:61-62.
In contrast, this passage from the Qur’an about Allah says:
Quran, 5:73 (Yusuf Ali), “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.””1st
Her warning to believers is clear and concise “…..Islam rejects the teaching of the triune God. Not only do they reject this, but they call anyone who believes it a blasphemer!” Those like us who’ve been born again, need to be VERY careful about who we listen to and what we read. Satan knows that time is running out and he loves nothing be7than to try to deceive those who are new to the faith! Be careful about the things you’re reading and always compare it with God’s Word!

JESUS is NOT Isa from the Quran: Chrislam is the ULTIMATE DECEPTION
Written in 2015 In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus warned that deception would be a significant sign of the end times.. He knew that the evil one would confuse even those who walked with Him. Just look…
