Jeff Bezos Demonises Farming And Invests £1 Billion In Fake Food Production

At the Aspen Ideas Climate, Bezos Earth Fund vice chair Lauren Sánchez announced an initial $60 million commitment to establish Bezos Centres for Sustainable Protein as part of the Bezos Earth Fund’s $1 billion commitment to food transformation.

The food transformation Sánchez dreams of is “plant-based lab-grown meats.” For anyone who has any logic or common sense, no such food exists nor can it ever.

Aspen Ideas Climate conference was held in Miami, Florida over the three days of 11-13 March 2024. It had five themes:

  • Big Bets on Tech: Charting the course for sustainable technologies of the future which included climate technology, biotechnology, lab-cultured “food,” artificial intelligence, geoengineering and new ideas for creating and storing energy.
  • Building things: Such as urban landscapes, infrastructure and “reimagined” economies that lead to a “sustainable and inclusive future.”
  • Financing the Future: A seismic shift in financial strategies, from billions to trillions globally, is required to address the “climate crisis,” so they claim.
  • Healthy Planet, Healthy Community.
  • Narratives of Change: “From the resonance of music to the subtleties of architecture, from stirring art to imaginative fiction, profound calls to action are often hidden in the unexpected. Experience the captivating stories that inspire change from some of the most unanticipated sources.” Which has undertones of using psychological techniques to bring about the desired change.

I've gotten into the practice of reading the labels of processed food I may think about buying because I have found that much of the processed food, depending on the brand as well, contains what is termed
"Geo engeneered food product" in the ingredients list.
Now that is very vague to put it in the term of"product ". That's so broad and can be anything.
I have strived to stick with my usual Brand and still now and then look at the labels.
It is law that the manufacturer must include it in the ingredients labels if there's any bio engineered or geo engineered foods in what you are buying. But apparently they don't have to be specific as to what it is in your food or how it was made or grown.

Nothing like home grown and home made food.

Buying and consuming organic, grass-fed, or at least non-GMO and no-rBST is soooooooooooooooooo much healthier, safe, sustainable, and tasty!
Unfortunately, a lot more expensive

I've tried regenerative organic, but they don't say how and with what they regenerate the land, etc., doesn't taste as fresh as regular organic, and sometimes tastes, smells, or appears "off," so I stick with "regular" organic.

We invested in a small freezer and I’m canning what comes out of my garden🤞, but I will not be buying from Tyson! Trying to buy local beef and other meats when possible. When I was growing up in N. California, I remember going into town and getting meat out of a freezer we rented. This place in town had huge, walk in freezers and you could rent space. Don’t have that here, but it sure would be nice! My dad used to hunt and fish, my mom would freeze and can. I didn’t know how great we had it!

Saw a news story on BBC America about how billions of people currently eat insects as a significant part of their diet, and the UN believes Westerners eating insects could help reduce the effects of global warming.
The kid they showed being given a breaded, fried insect did NOT look happy or enthusiastic :tap:

WF is advertising "Meatless Mondays" here. Don't know if it's due to PC, the ridiculous cost of food, or a combination
