The supply of the aircraft to the IDF will begin in 2027 at a rate of three jets per year

“The Ministry of Defense will purchase from the American government 25 F-35 aircraft, manufactured by Lockheed Martin in a deal that includes support and maintenance. Upon completion of the transaction, the fleet of the world's most advanced stealth aircraft operated by the Israeli Air Force will be expanded to 75,” the ministry said in a statement.

It added that the supply of the aircraft to the IDF will begin in 2027 at a rate of three jets per year. The deal is estimated to be worth $3 billion and will be funded from the American aid funds.

That deal that includes support and maintenance was similar to ones already in place for equipment they bought previously and were using from the start of the Oct war.

That didn't stop Biden and his State Dept stopping the needed supplies for maintenance and repairs in spite of that type of agreement. To ensure that Israel didn't put their own safety first, but rather that of their invaders.

I hope they got a fire sale deal on the new stuff because if they are scrambling for supplies in future, they don't want to be held up like that ever again.

I kind of hope they can keep a stockpile of such repair and replacement parts for just such a problem in future.
