In 2025, The U.S. Will Finally Begin Preparing To Fight A Nuclear War With Russia

1LoverofGod

Well-known
Will the upgrades that are coming to our strategic nuclear arsenal be ready in time? Right now, hopelessly outdated Minuteman missiles that first went into service in the 1970s form the backbone of our strategic nuclear arsenal. The silos where they stand ready to be launched still use rotary phones and 8 inch floppy disks in many cases. Once they are launched, the brand new S-500 anti-missile systems that the Russians have deployed will be able to intercept them. Meanwhile, the Russians have introduced a brand new intercontinental ballistic missile known as the Sarmat. A single Sarmat carries enough firepower to destroy an area the size of Texas, and our anti-missile systems are not able to deal with this new threat. The balance of power has fundamentally shifted, and so we desperately need to update our capabilities.

Unfortunately, this process will not even begin until 2025.
So we better hope that we do not get into a shooting war with Russia during the next couple of years.
The U.S. has been developing a brand new ICBM known as “the Sentinel”, and it is desperately needed

Dont believe everything you read about our capabilities, and certainly not claims made by Russia.
You are very appreciated for the service you made, and sacrificed yourself to protect our country.
Unfortunately today's US military isn't the same one you served under.

I believe leadership is key to a good military. The current Director of the DOD is not a good leader.

It's sad that the recruitment is dry. They can't get enlistments.

I remember 2 years ago there was a comparison of a recruitment advertisement for US and a video of the Chinese military.

The Chinese military has their soldiers lined up doing their march in sync, as their heads turned to the side and saluted their superiors.

Then they showed the US recruitment as and it was all about "inclusive, diversity, and equity" and stressed that LGBT are welcomed in the military.
I couldn't help but shake my head.

Consider the Billions of dollars that have been sent to Ukraine over the last two years.
It's astonishing that we've spent more on the Ukraine war than funding our own military.

I'm just saying that today's military isn't the World Power military we once were.
We may have some capabilities as far as our artillery and such but I wonder if the soldiers are even being properly trained for battle and not having too much time in their "inclusive" classes.

I think what's dangerous is that all of the public reports that our military isn't ready for war isn't whether those reports are factual.
It's that the enemy may not care to check if it's factual and we don't see the DOD making public statements denying those reports to make a case for credibility.

We can't always believe news reports, but where is the Military leaders setting the facts straight to confirm that our military is prepared and ready?

I'm honestly not making this an argument with you. I'm only making the argument to justify why the OP should be a concern.
Certainly as believers we don't worry about such matters, because we belong to Christ Jesus and we aren't even of this world but our citizenship is in Heaven.
But awareness is still always necessary.

I have veterans in my family who served with dignity and we are proud of them.
But it's just reality that nothing is the same today as it once was, not even the military.

Im not sure where you get some of your info, but its questionable.

More on Ukraine than our own DOD budget - not even close

We are still the premier military, although we have a weak commander in chief

Dont let a few woke headlines make you think thats how the military is.

Lots of info is released concerning the readiness of our military, most of which is not accurate, and thats by design. Disinformation is a positive.

I dont see another global superpower attacking us, or our direct allies - I wonder why that is……

The bigger question is would POTUS or congress unleash the true power of our military when its most needed.

Sorry sister, I should have cooled down longer after my hard morning run before responding to the OP. You did not state they were all facts, just opionions. I tend to get a little defensive on those in uniform.

Recruiting - Normally, recruiting goes way up when the economy is bad, and its really bad now, and recruiting should be doing far better. If I were to guess why, its parents nowadays are raising spoiled kids, who dont want to work. Also teens, and young adults seem to live on the internet, and want to find that dream high paying job, and are not willing to take a job that requires HARD work.
