I Surrender All, sung by Clay Crosse

It is difficult for me to keep up with the modern songs with the same name as treasured old hymns. Anyway here is the old hymn I Surrender all just in case others might like to see this also.

1 All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2 All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. [Refrain]

3 All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me. [Refrain]
~Judson W. Van DeVenter (1896)

I listened to that song this morning. I was thinking the song has a different meaning when you are in the process of saying goodbye to your husband of 55 years
:hug:

it's hard. I still need to remind myself that George's time was in God's hands, and God delivered him out of the pain and suffering into His presence and fulness of joy.

Surrendering to God's will and the waves of grief, as they roll over us. His will that is sufficient for the worst of times and the best of times.
