How do we find time?

1LoverofGod

Well-known
Some of you may recall the first time you were in love.
You spent as much time as possible with the one with whom you were in love with.

You could spend the whole day together and after a day out together and you both went home, it wouldn't be long for the phone to ring, and you could spend hours talking on the phone.
When you didn't talk on the phone your new love would be in your thoughts no matter where you were.
You shared favorite love songs that you might have dedicated to each other.
Maybe there were love letters and maybe poems.
The guy would surprise her with a flower that would be pulled out from behind his back.
You might remember the "Promise rings".
Oh and those giggles from both the guy and the gal over something silly. 😂🤣

You might say the two were inseparable, whether in person or in thought, always together.

When we fall in love, especially for the first time, it feels like we're on the clouds, and have a good feeling inside and maybe even feel our hearts fluttering.
Some would define those things as signs of love.

Now switching to the spiritual side......

Do you remember when you first fell in love with Jesus?

How did you feel when you first heard The Good News of The Gospel?

Maybe at first the Gospel message touched your heart and it planted a seed into your heart and because you loved what you heard, that seed planted in "good soil" deep in your heart, and the more you heard the more you had a divinely given Joy that caused that seed to take root, and the more it was watered by your hearing The Word of God, your faith began to blossom.
Just as scripture says, "faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God". (Romans 20:17)

Do you remember having the Joy in your heart upon knowing that God loved you SO Much that you didn't have to do anything but Believe in His Son Jesus, and He Saved you as His Free Gift to you with Eternal Life, and you became a Child of God? (John 1:12; Romans 10:9; Acts 16:31; 1 John 3:23)

When you felt that Joy in The Lord, did you feel like you were on the clouds and your heart was fluttering?

Did you feel like you were on fire and wanted to share the Good News of the Gospel with others?
Did you want to share Jesus with your friends and your family.
Did you feel like you could talk about Jesus all the time?

Did you find yourself asking questions, and find yourself seeking more of God?
Did you find that the more you learned about your Loving God and the glorious future He has for you and how Jesus made everything possible for you that it strengthened your faith, and your relationship with Jesus bonded more intimately?

How about today?
Does it sometimes feel like your time just doesn't have enough hours in the day for everything that you have to get done, and where you were so busy that God didn't come to mind?
Not intentionally, but you just had such a busy day and maybe some things caused you to have long waits or something was a mess by someone else and you had to take care of that and what you were doing was set aside for you to have to go back to and finish and so is how the day goes daily and time just gets away from you and it can be stressful.

When the day wraps up you are exhausted and can barely think anymore, and you get ready for bed and prepare to pray, and it feels like that's the only time you have to spend with The Love of your Life?

It happens, to many of us. We live in a culture that is demanding of our time, and time itself gets filled quickly and tightly with everything from family responsibilities, holding down a job, sometimes two jobs these days to keep up with the high cost of living, Church fellowship, and whether for ourselves or our children there are possibly medical appointments, meetings for your kids with school, and some have employment meetings, shopping for food and essentials, upkeep of the lawn, tending to the pets, caring for sick or disabled loved ones, and the list can go on in the Things To Do List every day. Sometimes you may have help, and sometimes you may have to do it all on your own. Some don't even have a day off, between the secular employment and taking care of the family and household responsibilities. And for those who are faithful servants in the Church, it's got to be a challenge to run those hurdles on a regular basis.

So where's the personal time with The Lord?

Spending time with The Lord is the most essential time in our life. But this life can suck up every second of our time.

How do we find time to do everything that's on the daily schedule, and still read God's Word and meditate on it? Have quiet intimate time with The Lord. Personal worship and devotional time and fellowship with God?

It's really not so difficult to incorporate most of the spiritual time with God in our every day life. Your Love for God is already in your heart, in your mind, and in your Soul. According to Jesus in Matthew 22:37 and Mark 12:30, that's The First Command, so naturally loving God in such a manner has Him Always with us. (Joshua 1:9; Matthew 28:20) God is with us wherever we go, so the next thing is to Include God in whatever we do.

"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"
1 Corinthians 10:31

"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Colossians 3:17

These verses demonstrate how in wherever we are doing, we should do everything with God in mind, doing everything for His Glory.

Parents are mandated by God to teach their children His Word constantly, and when parents adhere to this mandate, while the children learn, it also keeps the parents continually spirit minded, and keeps the relationship with The Lord strengthened in intimacy and bonding and the more we keep engaged with The Word of God the more we will find The Holy Spirit actively directing us and teaching us as we teach our children.
The parents' bond with God sets a good example for the children.

"You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up"
Deuteronomy 6:7

When we work in our secular jobs, our focus is on the job, but isn't it so that even while working our minds will sometimes wander and other things will come to mind? Like what time is lunch? 😋 🤣

When we are actively Spirit minded and those times come that the "other things" that come to mind as we work, God will come to mind instead of what you might feel like having for lunch, and it's a blessing to spend time with The Lord into our thoughts as we work with our hands or minds.

We can bring The Lord into our Secular job, yardwork, housework, schoolwork, taking a run, out for a walk, swimming, shopping, driving, personal grooming, anything we do we can make God part of it. (1 Corinthians 10:31l

God can be part of any of those situations and in our minds we can pray to Him, praise Him, give Him worship, just talk to God in fellowship with Him in our thoughts, or ask for His direction and guidance on decisions related to the job or for anything we need Divine Direction from Him for..

You know we can laugh with God too. God laughs with joy over us His children (Isaiah 62:5; Zephaniah 3:17). But God also has a sense of humor, as we can see in some of His Creation and how some animals can make us laugh at what they do. Like apes can make you laugh
🐒

Of course, if working around others, when you laugh with God do it in your mind, because bursting out in laughter aloud might make your coworkers look at you kinds worried, and might even call a paddy wagon for you. 🤣🤣

Next time there's a doctor appointment, take a Bible or devotional with you to read while waiting in the lobby.
If you have tracts, take some with you to share with others in the lobby.
Who knows maybe someone will take notice of you holding your Bible, or take a tract, and Maybe The Holy Spirit might move you to start a biblical conversation with someone next to you in the lobby. What an opportunity to plant seeds with a simple message from the gospel.

If we are busy at home maybe we can tune into an audio Bible on our computer or laptop or phone and listen to the Bible reading as we do what has to get done at home.
Whoever does the lawn, hook up some ear buds to your mobile phone and turn on an audio bible app and listen to it as you mow the lawn.
Just giving suggestions. Everyone has different things on their schedules.

There's always time for God even in our full schedule by including Him in our activities for our day. Thinking about God isn't burdensome to impact anything we do. He may even lighten our stress with having Him in our thoughts while we engage with what we have to do. (Psalm 55:22; Matthew 11:28-30)

We may have our hands full doing something and we can even use our mind when working, but we have a wide expanding mind where God can be. And because God is The Three Omni's (Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent) I believe He is a "Multitasker",
So, through the Help of The Holy Spirit we can think out our tasks that we have to do with our hands and with our mind, and our mind still has plenty of space to think spiritually and be connected with God.

God created us with a marvelous mind that can expand and take in a lot of information continuously, and it's awesome how having the mind of Christ and putting it into action we can spend time with God in everything we do.

Remember back how you could to spend time with your first love. If not in person it was forever on the phone, right?

Keeping God in our thoughts in whatever we do impacts our relationship with Him, by strengthening our intimate Bond with Him. And He blesses us as we have Him in our thoughts.

For some this is a new strategy to incorporate God into our routines, and it's something that takes regular exercising, and it builds over time, and the more we are in practice of keeping ourselves Spirit minded in anything we do God will bless us. God wants us to enjoy life but it's so much more a blessing enjoying the life The Lord gave us ... with Him.

If we want to be kept in God's Perfect Peace it's so worth having Him constantly in our minds. Let's work on bringing God into everything we do, and be blessed with His Perfect Peace and keep our Joy in our first Love for Jesus refreshed daily ❤️

"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You"
Isaiah 26:3

We can make time for our First Love, The Lord.

We have eternity with Him, so we don't need to look at the clock because our time with Him never runs out and He's in everything we do anyway.

It took me so long to put this together, literally four hours and from scratch too so I am beat 🥱🤤🙃😊 but it was in my heart to share these things, and I hope I didn't make my message too complicated to understand.
I really mean this to bless the reader. 🥰
I'm not so good with sorting out words and explaining well but I gave this a shot.

God bless you beloved family 💖

Amen to all the above, and I practice them all as much as I can. We’re never alone!
