How can I determine which foreign ministries to support?

I'd like to support ministries that bring to gospel to unreached people groups but most are unknown to me and I know that many organizations are not as effective or honest as they claim to be, so, that's what I'm looking for, ministries that share the gospel in an effective way. I already support Samaritan's Purse and Mercy Ships. I'm intrigued with Trans World Radio since that is my background but I haven 't yet sent them any money. Are they a worthwhile ministry to support? Any others that you're familiar with and endorse?

Have been supporting this ministry for 20 years. The couple lives full time in Haiti with around 100 children and they are the real deal. Their emphasis is on desperate families in rural Haiti—many are isolated high up in the mountains. We have talked with them in person quite a few times over the years. Have never seen such devoted, loving people. As some have pointed out to me, yes their ministry raises a lot of money, but they are doing a whole lot with it. Haiti is now in a crisis situation almost beyond belief and this ministry has lost many givers because people are giving up on Haiti.

I love Friends of Israel and the ministry of James Vernon McGee, the Bible Bus has small audio devices in many languages that they distribute. From their website: “Each weekday, Thru the Bible is heard around the globe in over 120 languages and dialects.”

I’ve considered Trans World Radio, but happened to listen to a ministry while driving that didn’t present a sound biblical message. They asked for support for their program hosted on TWR.

One more, Restoration Uganda is caring for and educating orphans.
