* Pay no mind to the numbers on the beginning of sentences, I have no idea why it did this and I wasn't able to remove them without removing the beginning of the sentences.

We live in perilous times on steroids. So many things that I read and see shout with the nearness of at least two events.
- The seven-year Tribulation
- And thus the Rapture, which happens before it.
- As for the U.S., where I live, we surely live on borrowed time. The wickedness, bloodshed, deception, brainwashing, and lawlessness are beyond what I could've regarded as even possible just ten or fifteen years ago. I sometimes wonder why the full scope of the Lord's wrath hasn't already fallen on America. It must be right on our doorstep.
- Yet despite the daily dose of alarming news that comes our way, we remain certain that there's a far better reality beyond this fleeting vale of tears. The Bible tells us that our Savior will have the last word, not Satan or his minions now scurrying about seeking to kill, steal, and destroy.
- The Anchor of our Soul
The Lord recently led my thoughts away from the darkness of this world with the last phrase of Psalm 38:2, "for you have exalted above all things your name and your word." Why is this so needed in our day?
I don't see any basis for hope whatsoever in this world or with any of its leaders or politicians. My future security rests solely upon Jesus and His promises recorded in Scripture. It's the exaltation of Jesus and His Word that comforts me during these dark times.
