Hapag Lloyd and Maersk have pulled out of the Red Sea due to the Houthi problem.

Britt Gillette SPECIAL ALERT: This is a Dangerous Development... in this YT from yesterday explains why global shipping problems (he uses an incredibly good map) are an indicator of a proxy war going on between the West and the BRICS coalition (Iran, China and Russia being some of the main players)

"Oddly" enough ships aligned with the BRICS nations are getting thru the Red Sea just fine. Even so, China's Cosco shipping line is suspending shipments to Israel.

Anything registered with western nations is at risk. So this is a proxy war on the west, using shipping.

This means that the big container ships are using a LOT more oil going around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa, adding 10 to 28 days to the time it takes for each voyage, which is creating a supply chain problem.

There is another FAR bigger issue

07:37 mark this part - Operation Prosperity Guardian program began Dec 18. Biden sent a signal of weakness.

3 weeks later - the problems continue, and now the big shipping firms are changing the routes. In other words, accepting defeat.

It's a problem for the USA and it's allies.

The US hasn't been able to put an end to these attacks and defend economics and free flow of trade. This is a huge signal of weakness. And this is the point of Britt's video.

If we look at the heart of this- we see Iran, Russia and China using proxies to attack world wide shipping (except for their ships of course) drive up the price of oil, and create supply chain issues in the WEST including Israel.

In response Biden is sending a signal of weakness- both in his non defence of Israel by siding with Hamas (that doesn't appease the Muslims, it emboldens them to go for more) and his lack of response to provocations by Iran and the Houthis.

Biden isn't attacking, he is defending his warships, but shipping lines are feeling so uneasy that they've caved to the pressure. THAT EMBOLDENS MUSLIMS.

Britt brings up the Somali Pirates. If you add them into the mix that is near enough to Cush to make several of the Ezek 38 gang on the attack with western shipping at stake. An interesting development.

If you prefer another source, The Guardian here: What is the Red Sea crisis, and what does it mean for global trade?

"The world’s largest shipping firms are continuing to pause shipments through the Red Sea after attacks by Houthi rebels along the crucial international trade route.

As container ships are diverted around the Cape of Good Hope on the southern tip of Africa, adding thousands of miles to journeys, the disruption is driving up the cost of shipments from Asia to Europe, raising the prospect of a renewed inflation shock for the world economy.
"

"Could it drive up inflation?

Redirecting ships is expected to cost up to $1m in extra fuel for every round trip between Asia and Europe, while insurance costs are also rising, adding to the overall cost of shipments.

Tankers transporting diesel and jet fuel from the Middle East and Asia are being diverted, while container shipments of consumer goods, commodities, clothing and food are also likely to be delayed.

Global oil prices rose on Wednesday as concerns over delays in the Red Sea were compounded by reports of disruption to Libya’s biggest oilfield. However, crude prices have remained relatively stable and are still significantly lower than in recent months, having fallen by almost $20 a barrel since the autumn.

I watched this last night, if this comes into fruition, apart from the whole global war timder box, the world could go into depression this year if Britt is right
