A very encouraging word from a recent Facebook post by a brother minister of the gospel, Colton Hill:
Sometimes this life can bring the worst heartaches, the deepest pains, the strongest fears, and the greatest struggles. We can get so used to it that it begins to feel normal, leaving us feeling alone, misunderstood, invisible, and even angry. But I want you to know today that this does not have to be your normal.
God sent His only Son to pay the price, to heal the brokenhearted, to break every chain that shackles us, and to bring us out of the dark places we find ourselves in spiritually.
Jesus sees the very depths of your heartache and pain. Not only does He see it, but He experienced it on your behalf. He made a way where there was no way so you could walk in freedom and be liberated from everything that binds you. You have not been overlooked. You are not forgotten. He’s not angry with you. He sees you, He loves you, and He has made a way for you.
You can mount up with wings like an eagle, free from all that shackles you and all that has broken you. He will bind up the brokenhearted, put the pieces back together, and give you a whole new life. All you have to do is simply believe and cling to the finished work He has already accomplished for you. Don’t stay bound when you don’t have to. Be free in Jesus’ name.
Isaiah 61:1 KJV
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
John 8:36 KJV
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Psalm 34:18 KJV
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Colossians 2:14-15 KJV
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Romans 8:37-39 KJV
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
