Gen Z influencers reeling after the Biden administration’s TikTok ban caused the social media platform to go dark for 12 hours are all saying one thing after their beloved app resumed service Sunday: Thank you, President Trump.
"I gotta keep it real, I’m crashing **** out right now… this is so dystopian" said makeup artist James Charles in an Instagram post Saturday that received over 800,000 likes. Charles lamented that he no longer had access to an app that had become such a major force in his life.
"Now I’m rooting for Trump eew, make America ******* great again, I guess."
I don't think thr tic toc saga is over yet. The elephant in the tic too room still needs to be addressed and it appears that China may not be willing to give up or share ownership.
I reckon we could get along just fine without TikTok.
Read an article the other day about a school—I think it was in Florida maybe—that banned cell phone use during the school day. I'm sure there was an outcry but you won't believe what happened next... Attention spans in class rose, classroom discussions of the subject at hand deepened, fist fights in the school declined without a way to provoke, organize and post them, online bullying lessened, and grades improved.
As far as Tik Tok itself it would be nice to see it trend out of China's grip. In that way it would compliment a counter notion of how much the political esablishment in the USA are patsies for China (on the payroll of money, power, and influence). If TikTok got pulled from the hands of China, it would likely be a good native witness within America regarding commercial stamina in the face of China. Just ethically a helpful perspective to the degree perspective plays a role in commercial markets in the country. As well as just a general sense in native morale (and international morale overflow too perhaps) regarding.
As to the disadvantages of TikTok, like it dumbing us down and cypthening off our attention span capabiitlies, it is understandable we have a concern. It is good America has these concerns, amen. Perhaps overtime TikTok itself could evolve into something perhaps better or may be useful in other ways.
MY MAIN REASON FOR POSTING THIS
The reason, though I actually wanted to post this was because of a different reason. It is my suspicion and even conviction that there are likely some levels of disclosure from unclassified documents at some point along the horizon. This sort of thing hinted at by unsealing JFK redactions etc. But even more so, it would seem with sites set on taxes, the FED, Food & Drug Admin, etc, that there is likely an interest in a Trump admin to expose as much as possible to grant America the best fighting chance (lest after a Trump admin it all just goes back to swamphood). Social Media has been a key ingredient in overturning fake news and propaganda. And as frivolous as TikTak is as a social media platform, it is social media. And it is sizeable and trendy.
So if and when things start coming to be disclosed (if so in theory), having airwaves to broadcast will become one of the strongest weapons (as in military strategy, eliminating communications is key to isolate enemy combatants). So the stronger the ability to broadcast in a transparent way, the more effective information will reach its intended goals. Over the years the likes of such political players such as Adam Schiff has put out a concern of deep fakes. Karine Jean-Pierre (Biden's Press Secretary) has also fraudulently put out there things about deep fakes when they don't like being outted when their own actions are revealed on public social media. So if dicalssified info gets put out and Facebook censors, or Twitter, or Youtube, reach would be extremely limited. But if you restructure Twitter (X), and hopefully Facebook (to some degree), and compete with viable video (like YOUTUBE) challenge (like Rumble), as far as communications go, putting things out in the public have much more of a chance of being seen and remain on the proverbial shelf for deeper consideration. Adding TikTok to that would just be gravy. So to me in general TikTok currently would seem to be understood (like how communications are in war times) as a viable entity to be useful in the general dispensing of Intel should some things come out.
. . . . .
THERE IS ONE OTHER THING
Typically what I have seen is a phenomenon today (over the past decade). Watcher world Evangelicalism trends to keep a watch and eye out for deception as we know the times have gotten more wicked. And the tribulation draws near. The generic strategy in watcher circles has been to warn against deception. Which is reasonable. We would be without conscience too if that were not the case, amen. However, in general I believe the greater moniker of our age is "revealing." And I would see the preservation of TikTak likely very much in line with moniker.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The above video (21 minutes in length) demonstrates the theme I believe is at least neck and neck with deception in our day (and I believe it actually surpasses it). That is the Trajectory of "revealing" in our age. Some have weighed-in to see a social norming of sorts of how to them it appears that what is happening is Christianity blending with New Age. Now there is no doubt in general there had been this trend for quite a while. However, when we see people like JP and Joe Rogen approach The Faith from how they themselves (new age heads) disclose the journeys they are on, there is at least some genuine level of clarity between how they understand Christianity and New Age thought. Which is remarkable to see demonstrated at such popular levels.
Our tendencies might be to look at this phenomenon and be skeptical. And a certain amount is required for discernment, amen. But as is the problem of post modernism, we are warned not to see so piercingly through "everything" so as to see nothing. Or, if everything is something for us to "see through" then everything in tranparent...and making even absolute truth transparent like glass to see through it and beyond it as absolute truth be only a conduit to see something else beyond it, would absoletly not be the goal here. In this, I understand the concern of our not being deceived. But in a world of increasing awareness of how something like Christian Fundamentalism can be extremely helpful (countering evolution at the turn of 20th century), or overtly dogmaticly mistaking the map of something for its actual real world location (a world where our personal preferences can become doctrines themselves), I believe we do well to consider how perhaps seeing too much deception overrides truth today to potentially also become a dogmatic trap of our own construction. And that we stray from discerning deception as the ceiling of primary aim along the path of reality arrived at for our age. While keeping also an eye out for things that might genuinely be noticed too, that is not deception. And one of those is that the 4 years of Biden has been helpful to see contrast. And probably the biggest utility in helping America see what it is willing to define itself as. And we see peeps like JP and Rogan evolving out of their new age thinking as they themselves see genuine value in Chrsitiantiy -- where we might ask, how might that have otherwise occured in their lives if not for the Biden era (a deception) to "see," a little better by contrast. Sure, perhaps by the Spirit directly. But maybe because of the age we are in and how things are going too, it might be better to watch those we known are not believers become more interested in that journey...modeling what that looks like for the nation, for the world even.
And to the extent we can see the last 4 years (or 8) as opportunities for thought leaders like Rogen to actually role play evolving toward Christianity to "the people." Like a rabbit placed out in front of a dog race pacing the run speed before all the poeple. Like God permitting the world to see popular names in society lead a path in what it looks like to come out of doubt into consideration. And to the degree this type of thing is happening today, might be to the degree we could consider God's good grace upon a fiercely wayward world. One of the tricks in discernment, I believe, we do well to resist is the temptation to evaluate everything with suspicion into the ground. Me thinks. My 2 cents for what it is worth.
All this to say, it is very likely a tool of dumbing down (TikTok) to be potentially useful if discassifcation becomes a thing. Blessings.
